This concert was a number of firsts for me. First time seeing Paul indoors, first soundcheck and first time seeing Paul from as close as I was last night. I was so close last night I could hear Paul tapping his foot during "Blackbird" up on the riser! The concert was amazing and I think this tops the list of my favorite of the 6 I've been to. Paul, Wix, Rusty, Brian and Abe were all in great form last night and I had a smile on my face for most of the show, I was having such a great time! Soundcheck was a wonderful experience and I'm glad I was finally able to attend one. I can see why people want to go over and over again! I had a great time meeting some board members as well, was a lot of fun chatting with everyone. Hi to all I met yesterday!
-
Like everyone around me I sang and screamed for most of the concert. After it was over I tried to talk but I had to push the words out 'cause I was so hoarse!

Once again, Paul did not disappoint! I encouraged a few friends to go and they said "best show ever"! Although I was sitting alone on main floor (first row of second section) you're never alone with Macca fans. I sat next to a 22 year old girl, Brittany, who drove alone from OH for her first Paul concert! I love seeing the excitement for Paul in young fans. Since the ticket price broke her, I couldn't let her leave without a T-shirt, so I bought her one! Got home at 1:30, alarm goes off at 4:30....not tired and ready to go! As for the signs, I was 3 rows behind d the 17 year old that eventually made it on stage. Happy for her, but the sign covered my view of the stage. She and her mom didn't care much about those behind them, but it's all good! As for security, I could not believe, with all those enormous signs they let in, I was told I could not bring in an album cover! I had the vinyl version of "Kisses On The Bottom", hoping to get it signed, but had to take it back to my car. I know Paul signs them, because I have 3 already. Aside from that...AWESOME SHOW!

I bootlegged the show on a recorder - so I will write my review Sunday night while listening to the play back. Sorry - I have a huge Halloween party at my house and I have to haul it to finish the setup in time for tomorrow.

I also thought, for one of the encores, Paul kept moving his mouth like he really needed a drink of water that time. I also liked how the guitar wrangler and him had that comic standoff about him going back on stage to finish the show. that was cute.
He drinks during the sound check. He drank 2 bottles....not water tho, it was yellow, Gatorade ?
Mmmm...

"He drinks during the sound check. He drank 2 bottles....not water tho, it was yellow, Gatorade ?" I never understood why Mr. McCartney does not drink anything during show. Every vocal coach in the world will tell you it is necessary to keep your vocal chords flexible and allow performer to give best performance. Actually, I believe you are supposed to be drinking water 20-30 minutes before you hit the stage.

Yes, awesome show! As for the signs, I think Paul should set aside time to have people hold signs up. I brought a sign but didn't hold it up every song. When I did hold it up it was in between songs (Paul wants to concentrate on the song, not signs) and didn't hold it up for real long (annoying for people behind me). That was so nice of you to buy that girl a t-shirt!

Was I the only one not impressed with the merchandise?
I was also. i really wanted to surprise m dad with a Paul McCartney hat for Christmas. He lives in the UP, much too far to come for the show. Will have to pay shipping and order it from the web site. Was also sad to hear Paul sing Maybe I'm Amazed. I've heard folks here on the forum say he can't handle singing that anymore, and I have to agree. He faltered a bit at one point, but recovered. Overall it was a fantastic show. Was thrilled to hear No More Lonely Nights in the opening photo montage music. Love that song.
"Was also sad to hear Paul sing Maybe I'm Amazed. I've heard folks here on the forum say he can't handle singing that anymore, and I have to agree. He faltered a bit at one point, but recovered. " I listened to the youtube clip of it and he actually sounded better than most nights, personally I think it was autotuned.

Nice pictures indeed. I took many with my phone ... They are washed out.. Overexposed.. Etc.... As close as I was they looked like good opportunity photo Chances .... I deleted many blurry and Missed ones and kept the others for My own memories ... But not to show ... Only because they don't look good. I did a few videos and again same Result. I would love to have brought In my "film" camera. I would push the Settings and under exposure etc .. And have better results. But it Has a detachable lens. I do have good memories of really seeing Him without needing the screens. My complaint if I had to ... Those booms That hold the cameras for the screen Got in the way of a good view.
-
chuffed, I thought I had a great view too, between Paul & Brian, until that boom got in my way most of the night.Every time I thought I would get a good shot, the boom thought so too ! & got in my way I was in 3rd section, I didn't notice if the 1st section had the same problem.I'm usually in the middle, with no boom !
-
I once had that darn boom in my way too. If they have that boom in operation so much they should not sell those seats at the end of the row. Or sell them as obstructed veiws.
