Detroit, MI - Joe Louis Arena - October 21, 2015 - ARCHIVE
-
Tickets run $29.50, $69.50, $99.50, $168 and $253 The ticket range is the same since 2002 BUT the spread tier is different this time around There will be very few $29.50 seats but they used to start at $45, $90 $125 and then $250. I used to go for the $125 as the second tier but now the second tier price starts at $168. Here's to the $99.50 seats....

WHY do they put all 4 shows on sale AT THE SAME TIME???? Just to be safe, I called my CC to explain to them what I will be doing Thurs am-not worried about the amt, but I want to make sure they don't "flag"it because it will be a large amt . They made a notation and already pre approved the amt. I suggest you guys do the same-I'm really afraid the site might freeze or crash and I would hate to see anyone (me included) lose tickets...... Just my little PSA

If you don't mind me asking what type of seats are you going for that you are worried you will be flagged for?

Sound check pkg (2), but I think it's a good idea for everyone to let their CC know. Just in case, the sites will crash (and I think it's a good possibility)

If I can come I plan to do soundcheck for the first time. Does anybody know how many tickets they usually put aside for soundcheck? I'm nervous about getting a ticket as usual.

The tickets are pretty pricey for the VIP soundcheck package. So if you are willing to buy those tickets, you should have no issue getting them. Have been to a few and checked availability to others and it has not been an issue, especially first day they go on sale.

I've heard at some soundchecks there are at least 150 people there. So the only problem will be getting the seat that you want. Meaning 2nd, 3rd, 4th row dead center or off to the side.

Agree, After talking myself into paying the price for the soundcheck, I really want a great seat at the concert !! For that price, I want a center seat 2nd,3rd maybe 4th row !. Problem is everyone else buying VIP tickets is wanting the same thing ! So far I've been lucky the last 3 times, but I'm worried about this one. 4 shows on sale at the same time.....I hope I get thru ! Good Luck to all of us !

I actually prefer off center. Your pics of Paul don't have his mic in the way all the time!

Thanks for the info about Soundcheck tickets everyone! I got approved to take the days off so now comes the hardest part, getting a ticket. This may be my only chance to do soundcheck so I'm really hoping I can grab one on Thursday. Also, does anybody know how seats run number wise in the rows for concerts at Joe Louis? I haven't been to a concert there since 1991.

I've lived in the area all my life, but never been there for a concert. Someone told me to call the arena today & see if they'll give any info on the rows, because that's what I need to know too ! I'll let everyone know ! Last year I was near the center of the row 3, (Chicago) I think my seat # was 3 ! No problem with the mic,I was right by that dang platform tho.....which is nice when he's going up.....he looks right at you

Have I mentions how THANKFUL I am for Paul to be back in an arena environment in Detroit. I loved Paul's 2011 Setlist but could not stand the horrible acoustics that is Comerica Park. That probably is the only time I regretted not getting the cheaper seats. My second tier priced seats ($125) were off to the side and a ways back at the ballpark. I could not see Wix nor the video screen behind the band. I felt I was a million miles away.

This will be my first arena show for Paul, so I'm excited as well to see him indoors. I'll feel better tomorrow morning once I have tickets though!

Good luck to all!

I haven't seen Paul in an arena before either. I saw him in 1993 at the Silverdome, then in 2011 at Comerica Park. Hoping I can get tickets smoothly tomorrow. Already notified my credit card of a larger transaction. Good luck getting tickets, everybody!

Thanks for the info. Wish it was still at 7 am my time instead of 6. Guess I'll just leave for work a tad later than usual. I'm already on the train by that time. I'm assuming this is the time for the VIP tickets as well. Not sure why but I'm more nervous for this pre-sale.
