Little Rock, AR - Verizon Arena - April 3oth - ARCHIVE
-
If this is to be the last tour, it'll be his victory lap.
-
None of the comments on any of the Periscope feeds have mentioned the vocals, whereas there were plenty of comments about his voice while watching the feeds of the other gigs so perhaps I'm just on the more critical end of the spectrum when it comes to critiquing his voice? The fact I have seen only ever seen him live post-2008 and this is the first time I am ever being super critical tells me that I can accept sub-par vocals but that things probably have got much worse.
-
The vocal decline in just 12 months is dramatic, to say the least.
-
Anyway sounds like Little Rock was a very enthusiastic crowd.
-
The Budokan gig was only 12 months ago and it was superb! They were even able to release it without doctoring it I believe?

Yes, it looks like they've had a great gig!

It was a shorter show and was there a public soundcheck "show"? I don't think so: just a rehearsal. Perhaps that's the way things might go. Time marches on sadly.

I find these on stage proposals pointless, the partner can see him holding the sign during the entire show and obviously she knew he brought it with him. Hardly a surprise proposal is it. A Hard Day's Night Save Us Can't Buy Me Love Letting Go Temporary Secretary Let Me Roll It/Foxy Lady I've Got a Feeling My Valentine Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five Here There and Everywhere Maybe I'm Amazed We Can Work It Out In Spite of All the Danger You Won't See Me Love Me Do And I Love Her Blackbird Here Today Queenie Eye New The Fool on the Hill Lady Madonna FourFiveSeconds Eleanor Rigby Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite Something Ob-la-di Ob-la-da Band on the Run Back in the USSR Let it Be Live and Let Die Hey Jude Yesterday Hi Hi Hi Birthday Golden Slumber/Carry That Weight/The End See ya next time!

OK, enough with the on stage proposals. I just find the onstage proposals tacky. I don't mind the tattoos, etc BTW.

What a bloody disappointment. Not a single setlist change.
-
Too bad set list is almost Identical from the last tour..I have always been one that has defended his set list choices but when he only changes a song or two then I can not defend that. I was expecting 5 or maybe 6 different songs..I think I am going to skip this tour it will be the first time in 7 years I have not went to see him. Sad but that is reality. Thanks for all the fun times Paul. Best to you.

He's added in 6 new songs this tour: A Hard Day's Night Letting Go In Spite of All the Danger You Won't See Me Love Me Do Fool on the Hill

The Little Rock crowd was great! Several people who sat around me were seeing Paul for the very first time and their enthusiasm was contagious. Two young men in their twenties who sat in front of me were first timers and they had a wonderful time with high fives all around after many songs. I'm not one who will ever complain about set lists or compare his voice this week to his voice one year ago or five years ago. His concerts touch my heart the way no other performer does. I was blessed that the Beatles music was the soundtrack of my Senior year of high school and all of college. I'm grateful that he has toured close enough to where I live that I've been able to see him 10 times since 2002, The only way it could have been better would have been if John, George and Ringo were on the stage with him. Thanks for the memories, Paul!

So glad you had a great time! I love seeing the reactions of people seeing Paul for the first time as well, so much fun to witness.

A longer than usual pause during the middle of "Here Today" song still gets me every time I hear it.
First time I've ever seen him stop like that. People were yelling things to him like "thank you" and "we love you " during that part of the song and I think he just got emotional. As for his voice, yes there are a couple of songs that he should probably cut since they are giving him trouble, but you all make it sound like he sounds like nails on a chalkboard. Which he does not. I've seen three shows live and not thru cell phone audio.

Kinda silly to be upset about no setlist changes between Vancouver and Little Rock when there was only a ten day gap between shows. I think it was kind of obvious that there weren't going to be any changes.

My daughter and I were at the show tonight. She had a sign that said "Babe for Abe". While Paul was singing Blackbird up on the platform, a security guard pointed out the sign to Abe and Abe blew a kiss, waved, pointed, and raised his glass of wine for her. A few songs later, the same security guard brought over a pair of used drum sticks from Abe. Then Paul's VIP coordinator Shelley gave us two guitar picks! What a night!

"Kinda silly to be upset about no setlist changes between Vancouver and Little Rock when there was only a ten day gap between shows. " I think a rock icon and the band that has backed him for 15 years could rehearse a different song or two in ten days.

About to head north back to KC. My two cents- another great show by Paul and the boys. Thought Pauls' voice was just fine and the audience was having a blast!!! Surrounded by several first timers who sang, cried and danced all night. Met a ton of Wings fans (yep, was wearing a Wings shirt). Do agree that 4 5 seconds song should go but the rest of the show was powerful.
-
The best sign I saw wes "Skipped Prom 4 Paul!"

I just watched some videos of Paul in Little Rock. He sounds ok. No better or worse than recent shows. "Fine" is relative. It is just where his voice is these days. The audience sing a longs cover up a multitude of sins, as well as three band mates singing in unison with him on most choruses. Maybe I'm Amazed sounded as rough as ever.
