Yeah, no haircut! What I like about these types of smaller gigs is it shows Paul can play ANYWHERE, in ANY building, if he REALLY wants to.
Not really that small of a gig. Over 4,000 people in a large convention center. Raised $101M for the fundraiser. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/robin-hood-donors-contribute-more-than-101-million-to-fight-poverty-paul-mccartney-rocks-sold-out-audience-300082418.html
Considering that he usually plays in stadiums and arenas, I'd consider this a smallish gig for him.

from those Instagrams it appears that they used most of the big staging - the side screens are there. Can't tell if the platform is there, too. In San Antonio last year, they used one back screen behind the drum kit, but there were no side screens at all. No room for them in the theatre!
Did he use the platform in Asia? In April and May?
Platform was used in Japan and Korea.

Cool. Thanks! I wasn't sure!

Btw...did I'll Follow The Sun have that unfunny multiple repeat ending?
It sure did!

Yeah, no haircut!
Looking at the Jet video, I think it is shorter, just not enough!

It's just combed. And that Jet video was from the beginning of the concert. Wed nite:

Combed or windblown or bedhead & poofy. edit to add...it looks like there may be a few strands that are longer & maybe he just parts his hair a little differently & then you get those results.

I like his last ending the best...bluesy.

Macca seems to be finding his fire again. Lately, this is the best he's been sounding in a couple of years.

I hope you're right. Cause he'd better bring his A game to the UK. You just know the press sharks will be ready to rip into him if he doesn't.

Grrrrrr!!!!!!! Would have been funny if he'd played it that way ONCE... it's just annoying.

My personal limit is two of those.

nice that it was a 2 hour show but I don't think I would have gone for the $3000 cheap ticket for a shortened set. Well, in fact, I didn't go despite only an hour drive

It's basically age. On any given night it's hit and miss. BUT, as one who sees a couple of shows each year, for mine he still sounds great! ... mostly. The "worst" show I've seen was Dodger Stadium last year - and he was still very good! Manchester 2011 and Tokyo Dome 2013 are probably still the best shows I've seen him give, voice wise. Either he's very consistent or I'm incredibly lucky that I haven't witnessed a shocker. Of course the answer is the former...

I agree, it depends on the night. No criticism intended, generally Paul is doing quite well these days. I'll Follow the Sun was a little shaky vocally and Paul gives Rusty the LOOK when he hits that bum note on the solo to say "Dude! The solo has four notes!!"
Compare the same song a few years back: Still, I think Paul gives it his all, and watching him at the Robin Hood concert reminds me what a pro and pure musician he is. -
Good to see I'll follow the sun played again should be a more regular feature, looks promising for next week.
