AMEX presale includes copy of new album!
-
Can confirm -- just got one for every order placed during the second presale (*not* the first -- yet), regardless of whether it was the fan presale or Amex, though all were ordered on my Amex. Woo hoo!
-
some folks on the net are saying that they just received their emails today to redeem. So looks like there may be a lag from sale to email
-
There was a $7 price hike for the second NY and NJ shows, maybe that's why? Hoping we get it for the first shows though. Would be nice to have
-
Still got nothing! If it's per ticket, I should have six CD's coming my way...
-
I just received notification of the free CD 5 minutes ago. I was part of the website presale, not AMEX.
-
As usual, anything is possible! I guess I'll wait patiently... :
-
Venue where I am going sells own tickets. I do wonder if this will happen. So far, no email.
-
Is the reason of this that they are finally going to do the sensible thing and make the upcoming album a good seller through this? Or is a tie-sale automatically not eligible for the charts? As far as I know a similar tour practice ("buy 10 copies, get the 10th one signed") got The (3/4) Beach Boys to #1 at last in 2012.
-
This is ridiculous! Everyone who bought a ticket should get a free copy, regardless of when, where, Ticketmaster, AXS, or whatever!
-
Just today, I received one email to redeem album. I bought a ticket to each MSG show and paid using Amex (1 VIP 1 fan presale). Curious what will happen next, if anything.

What is the 3/4 Beach Boys? This was their reunion tour/album with all five living members, and it got the record to #3 not #1. I'm not really sure why this worked so well...who wants ten copies of a CD. Plus, The Beach Boys will sign anything if you're polite and wait for the right time...lightyears easier than getting Paul's autograph. Anyway...is this an AMEX thing, or a VIP thing? Has anyone received an email that did NOT buy any sort of VIP package? Fron Row, Second Row, Sound Check, Gold etc...

Given the specific number of emails I received, I'm confident that these are for the tickets I purchased for the 2nd set of dates, none of which were VIP packages. All were regular seats through either the "fan" presale or the Amex presale.

Okay, so I'm in through AMEX presale however, none of mine are for the second set of dates so I guess that's where I got screwed out of it.

Most likely. The 2nd-only thing seems quite unfair and nonsensical. Maybe they thought those dates needed more of a sales boost? Though considering how few people even got a heads-up about the offer, that wouldn't make much sense either.

I bought two single tix (could mot get two together tho we are in the same row...go figure) in two separate transactions for 2nd MSG on Ticketmaster. I did not pay with AMEX. I got two email offers in my email. I heard from one other fan that bought tix for a midwest show thru TM and also paid with non AMEX card and received the email offer. I did notice the second show MSG charged a few bucks more for tix than first MSG!
-
Purchased tickets for second show at Nassau Coliseum and got the new cd offer...didn't use AMEX card.
-
So it seems that no matter how you paid or how much you paid, as long as it was the second show, you get the CD. That's a bunch of bull.

As I said, the prices for second MSG I noticed were about $6-7 more than the friday show with no explanation....would offset the cost of mailing a cd, no? Oh, and I got my tix thru the Paul presale. I wonder if people who bought VIP pkgs, Silver, Gold, Soundcheck and front row will be getting the CD in their swag pkg. Only time will tell.

We shall see! Oh well, probably for the best...I'm sure there will be a deluxe version that I'd rather have once it actually drops in the months to come.

There is no second show in OKC and I got the email about the album.
