Hi! I have some questions about the recent tour. Does Paul let some fans come on stage on every show? Or just sometimes? And do they all have some special signs that catch his eye or something? Aaand is there a chance to meet him after the show if you wait long enough? At least to just wave at him and say hi?

          Yes.

Paul does NOT let fans up on stage at every show or every soundcheck. I went to 2 Hot Sound Packages (soundcheck) and nobody was let on stage for SC or the show!! I was pretty disappointed. Yes, special signs that catch his eye usually. You will never meet him after the show. You would be lucky to glimpse him arrive or leave in his limo (if you didn't have tickets) If you go to SC you have to be in the venue waiting and therefore are unable to see him arrive. "Wave! They expect that!" (Help! reference)

It's definitely random at his own discretion. But I think that girl playing Bass with him in Argentina is the first time something like THAT has ever happened! http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/watch-paul-mccartney-jam-with-young-fan-on-get-back-20160518

Yes, DURING a show & not just at soundcheck.

Unless it's something that's actually cool, I really don't care for fans getting on the stage. It is a thrill for no one except the people onstage and their friends. As for everyone else, the show which they'd paid good money for has come to a lengthy pause. Again, if it's an actual cool thing, I'm good with it: Like the little girl who played bass on "Get Back" or the dudes who made the Abbey Road replica and got Paul to pose barefoot with them for a picture. At the very least, the audience was still being entertained.

If I was the one choosen to be on stage with Paul I'd be both terrified and excited being in front of him and thousands of people....I'd be stage fright and probably pass out LOL! But yeah Paul does a random pick about letting fans on stage.

That has been the case in the past, but this year, he IS bringing fans on stage at every concert. I don't think anyone has gotten onstage at any of the soundchecks, tho. And yes, the fans coming on stage seem to get picked because they have a clever sign. AND a child...seems like he has been bringing up people with children at most of the shows.

On both last year's tour and this one, Paul has used words something to the effect of now it's come to that time in the show and then the fans go on stage. I liked it much better when it was mostly done at sound check. That way it didn't interrupt the concert. I did go to one concert a few years ago now, where the dad had a sign that said the kid could play Get Back. They got up on stage and the kid was terrified. Brian Ray tried to help him, but he just stood there with a blank look on his face. Paul gave the kid a big hug and off the stage they went.

I tend to agree. The stage is a sacred space. Bringing fans on stage, while exciting for them, brings the show to a halt. I don't need to see how human my rock idols are. I need them to rock.

I agree, don't like the bringing the fans on stage. I pay money to hear Mr. McCartney sing and play not sign some people's signs or body parts.

                              Maybe I'm amazed !!
