Wings Over America / Rockshow - how much overlap?

I also saw a book on Amazon due out later this year called Man On the Run that details Paul during the 70s, it looks like it could be good! That being said, there's a book out already called Band on the Run about Wings and the 70s and it's lousy, don't waste your money or time on it.
That's coming out in September by British author Tom Doyle, it looks great. Also our own JimmyMcCullochFan had an interview with Tom about Jimmy last year in London so he'll be getting a credit too which is cool.

Nice! I agree, it looks to be a very well done book and should be fascinating...it's a period of Paul's career that is always either overlooked and forgotten about, or dismissed and brushed aside as inconsequential, when we all know it's none of those!

I just checked, and no song from rockshow is the same recording from WOA. Except... I think, Silly Love Songs. Can someone please second check my work on this? (not all tracks, I'm sure of those ones, just not sure SLS is the same recording)

Thats correct......Silly Love Songs (rec: New York, 25th May 1976) is the only song on Rockshow that is featured on Wings Over America. All 5 Los Angeles concert performances on 'Wings Over America' for example were recorded on the final night, 23rd June 1976. Rockshow used 21 performances from Los Angeles, 15 of them from the 2nd night, 22nd June, the remaining 6 from the final night, 23rd June. However, none of those 6 songs used were the same as the 5 songs used on Wings Over America. For the record, the Rockshow performances were: (venue/songs) New York, 25th May 1976: Maybe I'm Amazed The Long And Winding Road Yesterday Silly Love Songs. Seattle, 10th June 1976: Venus And Mars Rock Show Bewhere My Love Letting Go Band On The Run. Los Angeles, 22nd June 1976: Jet Let Me Roll It Spirits Of Ancient Egypt Richard Cory Bluebird I've Just Seen A Face Blackbird You Gave Me The Answer Magneto And Titanium Man Go Now My Love Let Em In Time To Hide Hi Hi Hi Soily. Los Angeles, 23rd June 1976: Medicine Jar Call Me Back Again Lady Madonna Live And Let Die Picasso's Last Words (Drink To Me) Listen To What The Man Said. (Info from 'Eight Arms To Hold You' )
