Petition for Silly Love Songs LIVE!

Have you ever tried to get on Paul's lawn though? Last time I tried I spent the night in a cell in St John's Wood Police Station, I'm not going through that again... Maybe we could post a letter somewhere asking for SLS, the tour promoter?

Hmmm....spraypaint it on Pauls house? haha
perhaps you missed the word feasible We already discussed mowing it into his lawn but we concluded it wasn't quite workable!
Now, I'm going to fight for my lawn idea one more time. What's more feasible then a lawnmower? I've got one on my porch right now. Sure, it's covered with snow, but a quick dusting off and it's ready to mow!
Great! We now have a plan!

There is no organisation here. It is impossible to band together. If you want something bad enough you gotta work for it. How did the South American's do it with the "NA NA NA NA" signs? We need a leader here! Maybe just me with my one scarey face could do it? Willing to try. The humor approach will get the most attention and has the most possibility for success. I'm no leader though (I'm just a good thinkerer) . We need an Alpha person in charge...I'm a Beta. Podgie (like the new website) Monkey

cfergoid is our alpha!

Ok so who has a seat in the arena section? Here's my idea, the only one I have that could possible work. Leave a letter on the seats in the front row, from stage left to stage right. P L E A S E L E A R N S I L L Y L O V E S O N G S F O R P M F A N S Across the middle 41 seats of the front row with a gap between each word and an instruction to hold up during one of the songs. Is that at all feasible? Edit: Small problem...the front row only has 16 seats...

LOVE it! Or as Macs would say, LURVE it! You'll need those folks to agree, though, and to hold those letters up at the same time. You'll need to leave a note of explanation, like "After the second song, please hold these up," something like that. Also, in terms of "feasible", you need a floor ticket at some venues to even get close to those front row seats, and depending on the venue, need a ticket in the first 20 rows to get up there. Not trying to throw wrenches in your plan, just thinking it through for possible pitfalls. I do like it though!

Lurve the plan!

Guys, I can almost confirm that Brian has read this thread, or glimpsed at it. I tweeted the link to here for him and said "Members of http://paulmccartney.com forums are really passionate about this...." and he said "that's cool!", which is better than nothing, eh?

You my friend are a LEGEND!!!! Much like My Brian Ray himself!! Brian if you do happen to pop by this thread you guys are the second best band Paul has ever played with (sorry but The Beatles are the greatest EVER, you understand right) and you could rock the hell outta Silly Love Songs!! The place would go wild with it in the first encore!

I agree. Brian and the guys have got Pau to play some AWESOME songs over the years: Getting Better, Helter Skelter, I'll Get You, Letting Go, Junior's Farm etc etc. I hope they manage to add Silly Love Songs to that list!

There's so many people behind this song now! haha I hope they at least give Silly Love Songs another run through...he might like it now! At first I wondered if it was cos there was no brass section, but other brass heavy songs like Got To Get You Into My Life and Letting Go work/worked great live!

Wix does a great job (some critics don't like this, but I do) during Lady Madonna. I think he could do Silly Love Songs just as well. And as you pointed out, Darth, they've managed with Wix on those other horn-heavy songs. I think if we keep bringing this up, at intervals, to Brian (without deluging him), and get some folks to hold up posters at various shows, this could actually happen.
