Great articles thanks for posting. Had these symptoms right after Christmas, lungs full couldn't breath, wheezing like a Harmonica in and out. Sleeping sitting up.
The only thing, was that it wasn't supposed to be in the states yet. My neighbors had it too. We were all coughing from Christmas to mid January. Doing self isolation now. Should have been ready a month ago! What the heck are they doing not testing everyone and isolating people? Everyone with it is spreading it around!
We never know when our time may be up. So I have been reaching out to people in my life and letting them know how much I love them and how much they have meant to me. This is a good time to reflect.

We are all in a shelter in place here where I live. We can only go out for walks (if we see others out, we have to be 6 feet from them) go to the grocery store and to the dr. I think the whole US should be doing this right now. I'm grateful I get to work from home during all of this!

Yeah, I'm grateful to be retired from O.R. nursing! I'm a homebody and have been practicing "social distancing" for 2 years now! Now where did I put that remote?!

NancyR thanks for that positive news! Please send any masks you have unopened, to your local hospitals. They also can use masks from contractors.
Pretty upset, a Mom and two of her children died today in Freehold NJ. We still have the least testing of so called, advanced countries.
Going out riding around in my car and coming home without social contact. It does help. Contacting everyone I know on FB and letting them know I am thinking of and praying for them. It's really joyful to reconnect. We are alone but not lonely. People are so nice on the roads these days... Baking cookies to send and a cake for the FedEx people still working.
Be safe Paul & Ringo their families and everyone on the board... We can wear masks now, if you can find them. Better to stay in for the next 2 weeks though!!

Have just read some good news about Corona Virus. India has come up with a seemingly successful combo of drugs, which seem to be working. Some other hospital staff came up with a faster way to get faster test results ! We are putting our thinking caps on and come up with winning strategies!!

This wouldn't open when I clicked on it! It was about how the EU is asking Netflix to stop streaming in HD because the internet is slowing down due to all the millions more people on it all day.

In my state of Georgia (I live in Gwinnett Co.)

Ugh, from this evening all pubs/clubs/restaurants etc are closing their doors...until further notice. I'm really going to miss my local Wetherspoons.

I worry about all the local small businesses near me -- independently owned cafes, a bookstore, etc. -- who will be devastated by this. But the lockdown now happening in my state and several others is necessary.
Please read this article by an acquaintance of mine, Mark Schoofs, whose heroic reporting about AIDS in Africa in the 1990s earned him a well-deserved Pulitzer Prize:

Can you still get food to go (take away) at some restaurants? We still can here in GA. The number of cases and deaths keep rising in my county (Gwinnett) and GA:

We can't find any toilet paper around us and we are almost out ugh! Can't even find any online. All those panic buyers and hoarders, makes me so angry!

I know. I luckily bought an 18 MEGA roll pack before all the hoarding started.
Are you on NextDoor? (see the app) You could ask your neighbors if they have any to spare (or sell)

Yes you can, in places like Greggs etc. They've just shut down their 'restaurant' section but you can still go in and buy over the counter pastries / cakes etc to take away as normal. Wetherspoons is a pub chain though so don't do take aways as such, although they did do coffee take aways in the past.

Panic buying is idiotic. The only reason there are shortages is because of people buying 3x more than they need. Please do not do it.
And also, please, please support your local small businesses that will really struggle and may or may not get any sort of government help. If the local independent coffeeshop where you like to hang out is still selling to-go, buy something. Or if they sell gift cards, buy one. There's a lovely little independent bookstore near me that's now closed but selling through their front gate if you call, email or just drop by and ask for something. So I went today to buy the next book I plan to read, even though I won't finish the one I'm on for a couple weeks, because I know they're losing business right now.
