Covid-19 Coronavirus

Hi Gypsygirl Good to see you! All the best to you and your family.
No one really knows how long this will last. I found a good explanatory video made by a surgeon.

Well folks it looks like we may have until June now, and even the most careful ration of toilet paper is going to eventually run out. It's time to start making closer friendships with your friends who have shamelessly hoarded the newest gift item on everyone's birthday, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and even Best Friends Day gift list. Stuck in Place...here is a solution, drone TP delivery!

And now my all-time favorite songwriter who wasn't a Beatle, John Prine, is hospitalized in critical condition with COVID-19. I want to scream.
I just heard about him on our news. He was from the Chicago area & he used to be a mailman! (useless trivia)

Prine is apparently stable but still very ill and on a ventilator. He's had a huge outpouring of love and support online, including a video message from Joan Baez on Twitter.

They said it came on very suddenly. Thank God that he apparently is getting better.

They just upped our shelter in place to May 3rd. They said our state is showing a few tiny signs that its working, but it will be another week or two before we really start seeing a difference. I'm glad our state is being very proactive, but even so I still worry about how long companies can last being remote like this. I have a feeling a lot more job losses will be coming, but I know we need to keep doing this.

They just upped our date too. It's now the end of April. And as you said, I womder what businesses will survive.

Continued prayers for John Prine as he has had cancer before, so he really needs us to send prayers and also many prayers tonight for all of those who are sick and suffering or scared or home alone or wondering if there will be equipment for them, if they should need it. Especially lets pray for all the hard working healthcare workers, who are trying so hard to help everyone in their care and those who have essential jobs and need to go to work every day so we have food to eat, medicine we might need, police, firemen, ambulance drivers, there are so many!! Let's also pray for our leaders, who are trying to do the best that they are able, in this emergency situation. I know they are all praying that we stay home, and keep from catching the virus, so that this virus ends sooner!Â

Saw that, I especially love how the British are celebrating their NHS Healthcare workers! Way to go Paul and Elton and all of the people who were involved.

Did you have a link for that wings mask? It would be a great handout at the concerts that Paul has, just as a safety precaution and to keep the air clean! Â

Many currently approved drugs are now being tested in labs to see if they are candidates. Read about this interesting drug that is available all around the world already. In the lab it was able to kill the COVID 19 in 48 hours in a lab. Hope one of these already tested drugs they are testing, is found to work. That would speed things up!

Well, let me get my two cents in this discussion. Not only am a huge Wings fan, I'm also a huge math guy. Anyway, here goes; in the world as of today, .00016 of 1% have the virus; .0000088 of 1% have unfortunately died. In the USA, .00088 of 1% have the virus, and only .000024 of 1% have died. Why hasn't the world media presented these facts? Because bad news sells; good news does not. Here in the USA, CNN, MSNBC, and FOX have enjoyed their highest ratings EVER. Visited two emergency rooms this weekend in KC; not one virus patient yet. Sorry, but we all need to get back to work. This virus is not the Black Plague. It is a virus that nearly a huge majority recover from.
