Yeay! Let us know how you do and which one you get.

Had mine (Oxford Astrazeneca) a week ago. Only side effect was a raised temperature that night. I didn't feel the actual jab at all. The trainee doctor was swabbing my arm before I knew he'd already done the jab.

Isn't that the one they stopped using in France, Germany and some other countries? What's up with that?

I got the Pfizer one. I go back for my second dose on April 7th. My arm is pretty sore (though I barely felt the needle!) and I'm a little feverish, but otherwise doing ok! How did you do after your first dose last week?

Just a sore arm for 24 hours, that's all. (mine was Pfizer too)

That's the one. There are supposedly figures that suggest that the vaccine has been linked to increase 'blood clotting' cases and some countries have paused their vaccine roll out as a result. Now a few countries have decided it is safe after all while others are unsure. Its all nonsense of course and any potential harmful side effect is far less than the potential harm caused by not having the vaccine.

I've had some small fevers off and on the past few days, more so in the evenings, but I would much rather deal with that than getting Covid again!

Me too! I finally got my sense of smell back after over 2 months!

From Covid Nancy? Glad you got it back... that must have been nerve wracking!
I got high blood pressure, probably from all of the stress of hearing about friends and family that were getting it. It’s much worse than the flu from what they are telling me.

Yes, I had Covid in Dec. Had a cough for a month! No other symptoms besides the loss of smell. It wasn't too bad. Food wasn't as flavorful. It was mostly just weird!
Did you have to take medication for your high B/P? Somehow, mine has managed to stay normal!

Two staffers at the Assisted Living where I live, came into contact with someone who tested positive for Covid. Sigh......so now it's back to trays in your room this week. And all activities cancelled. Talk about anxiety ramp-up! Who were they? Do they now have the virus? Did they come close enough to me?......Just when I was getting a handle on my anxiety.
.....this too will pass--right?

Has the state you live in lowered the age requirement to get the Covid vaccine? Here in GA it is now anyone 16+!

I have some meds, bought a BP machine and all my readings are low now and My hands and face are freezing. I don’t think I need it, still I’ve lowered my salt to under 2000 and have been losing the Covid weight I gained! Getting the bike out, just put air in the tires! So I don’t think it will be too long! The doctor thought my symtoms might be Covid and they left me in a COVID room for an hour with huge hepa filters blasting, hooked up to 4-5 machines. No wonder my BP was so high!! Got my vaccine, so very happy now !! Going out a lot more finally, with a mask of course! Life looks very happy again!!!

Drama queen Mariah Carey gets her vaccine & apparently brought her own film crew.

Why did she kind of scream out that note? My shot was so painless, I couldn't believe it was done. Did anyone else have pain from their shot? Just curious...
-
^ 1st shot was slightly painful, but 2nd one on Saturday, not at all. However the side effects began on Sunday: arm pretty sore, left shoulder muscle sore, headache, fatigue. Still have soreness today. My ex is taking care of our granddaughter all day today (planned it ahead) as I don't think I could stand to lift/carry her.
-
Got my second vaccine today. Like the first one barely felt it at all. So far my only side effect is a very sore arm, hopefully that will be the worst of it!
-
I had chills for 2 nights after my 2nd Pfiser shot. And a 101 temp for a morning but then all was ok.

Yes I spoke too soon last night! Right before I went to bed the chills started and today I've been tired and achy, but I'm feeling better now!
