McCartney Concert Voice

Its been cracking at the height of his range until he hits falsetto. You cant notice it at the show though, I only heard it when listening to the bootleg. Hes made a few few key changes too. Otherwise, not much to pine about.

21st Century Paul:
[..] Well, Paul's record Good Evening New York City had autotune or something similar added. And that's the only one Paul record with autotune (well, except for the weird part at the end of Feet In The Clouds). [..]
Not true. Used on every studio recording since 'Memory Almost Full'. He never ever ever ever ever used any pitch correction live on stage. Multiple live recordings and television/radio broadcasts were though.

I agree. However, Paul deserves credit for sounding quite great on certain live, pro-shot telecasts like the 12.12.12 event and his broadcast concert in Halifax 2010.

I have that Halifax DVD it is great and Paul sounds fine.

The funny thing about that Halifax show -- if memory serves -- Paul must've had a major brain-fart during "Highway." He'd apparently forgotten the melody on the first verse and was singing an entirely different tune -- and I'm pretty sure it was quite unintentional. He charged on, though.

yep! that's it! He got it back by the end of the first chorus, though. Also, I thought it was 2010, but it was it actually 2009. Where does the time go?

so is there autotune all over Memory Almost Full, Kisses On The Bottom and EA? I haven't noticed... if there is something there it must be a very soft effect....

True. I wouldn't mind if he changed it up a little & sang a few songs a little lower.
They might sound a little better because of it. Hearing Elton sing most of his songs lower hasn't really ruined them from what i've heard.
I'd rather he do that than miss the notes & have people complain that he doesn't hit all the right ones. It would be safer for him!
I think the only sing I've heard him change the key to during this 'my band' era was the 2005 version of 'For No One'...performed in the key of C during that tour...but that aside, I agree with you...also, I think if he were to 'pull back the reigns' a bit on some screaming parts (not all of course, it wouldn't hurt things either....he sort of did that during Golden Slumbers in Boston where he didn't really scream 'Smiles Await You When You Rise' like he always has...I didn't actually notice while I was there but picked up on it when I listened to a youtube video after the fact...anyway, it came off pretty nice

I agree Rich, he needs to reign it in a bit! He tries too hard sometimes and f's it up! Just sing it like you originally did, Paul, and don't try anything fancy.
