And as usual, this "in-depth candid interview" had not one mention of Wings. Not one. WTF?

"If you want the Beatles, go see Wings"-George Harrison 1974

"This is for all the Wings fans!" - McCartney introducing "1985" for the first time on American soil (Phoenix 2010)

That's a great interview. I especially enjoyed the section when he spoke about fame and how he rarely looks at his FB, Instagram (and no doubt Twitter) pages and that its all done by his 'team'. Maybe now there will be less gullible fans replying to those posts as if they were written by Paul and that he actually reads their replies...but I doubt it somehow.

Wonderful interview. I think the reason there was no mention of Wings is because he wasn't asked !   There's lots of things about Wings that I would like to hear him talk about, but interviewers don't seem interested.

That wasn't in either of these articles was it? I missed it if it was. One of these articles was about Mary but was combined in this thread.

I'm a bit confused, Nancy. I can only see one clear photo of Paul playing his guitar (the same photo appears in both features) and he's playing it the correct way for a left-hander. Plus Paul's hair is parted the same way as in all the photos so that guitar one hasn't been reversed. Is there another photo that you've seen somewhere?

I've always said that & to quite a few people here too!

I understand what you're both saying, there was a fan who posted online that she knew Paul was reading every one of her posts on his FB page, that's why she only posted there, and stopped posting here.

I tend to think he might look at what people are posting from time to time (he has internet access after all) even if he himself rarely posts.   I don't like Facebook either but still look at friends and relatives photos even if I don't post much myself.

I do social media page work for an actor that's been on film and tv for many years, and he dislikes social media, especially Facebook, and rarely posts, but I know for a fact that he looks at and reads all of his FB and instagram.   Like Paul, he's very private.  He would rather spend his time outside working in his yard, or sitting by a fire with a book and cigar.  The difference is, he has less than 10,000 people that like his pages, whereas Paul has millions.   There's no way anyone, even the people on Paul's team, would be able to read ALL comments on a million plus likes page.

But the fact that Paul doesn't like facebook and isn't involved alot in social media on a daily basis isn't surprising, especially for someone who is very private and doesn't like to share minute details about himself.  He'd never be able to post "Look at the yummy oatmeal I had this morning!"  I think he'd rather put bamboo shoots under his fingrnails than write that kind of stuff

He's looking great!  It goes without saying that Mary's photos of Paul for this article turned out really well, and really capture his style and who he is as a person and as a musician.  She did a wonderful job, and as with Linda, her photos are among the best of Paul ever taken.

I think its an age thing as well. Most people who are pushing 80 aren't interested in the internet. Paul obvously uses email (there's enoughevidence to support that) and he no doubt uses video calling/zoom etc for keeping in visual contact. But I can't imagine Paul having any interest in wasting his time visiting messages boards and social media sites about himself. As he says, he has his team in place to do that. But i still find it amusing the amount of fans who still think he does read their posts, and then bail out (there are plenty of people on these boards who have done so over the years) once reality kicks in and they realise that they won't be going on Paul's Christmas Card list, simply becasue they have  created thousands of posts saying squiffy things about him.

I think I've spotted a thumb nail version of the photo, all links to which are now broken. It has Paul almost laying down on a garden seat holding the guitar the wrong way.

But the fact that Paul doesn't like facebook and isn't involved alot in social media on a daily basis isn't surprising, especially for someone who is very private and doesn't like to share minute details about himself.

Understand what you're saying.   I think when something good is posted, it should come from a good place and be genuine, no matter who sees it.   0ne great thing about Paul and all the Beatles is that there is a collective fan love for them that surpasses any kind of "fanship"I've seen in my lifetime.   Even though Paul may not know each of our names, or recognize our faces, I'm sure he feels that collective fan love from us and knows how many people truly appreciate him, and that in itself must mean a great deal to him, just to know that.   That's all that really matters!

Know what you mean about people close to 80 not being interested much in the internet.  The internet wasn't part of their life growing up, and they've learned to appreciate what life was like without having to be dependent on it, so don't feel a loyalty to it, which I can understand.
