I agree! Here's another video of Blackbird, taken by someone who was sitting front row center on the floor last night! Paul McCartney - Blackbird (Live in Vancouver) and the poster writes: "We scored front row, dead center seats to Paul McCartney's show in Vancouver. This was my favourite moment."

Wow. Imagine being in that Pipe Band ... <snip> "Ralston, who is a big Beatles fan, and his bandmates could hardly contain their excitement in the weeks leading up to the performance, but they managed to stay quiet about it until the day of the show. "We did a rehearsal on Saturday evening with his band, and then we did another one yesterday afternoon with Sir Paul himself," said Ralston. "He was just as gracious as can be, very friendly, down to earth, just a real gentleman and a pleasure to work with." The Delta Police Pipe Band is well-known around the world, having performed in such countries as Switzerland, Scotland and the Netherlands. They're even preparing for a tour of Germany in March. But if Ralston had to rank the band's performances, McCartney would hold the top spot. "You can't replicate that, 50,000 people and a living legend," said Ralston. "We consider ourselves very lucky." <snip>

Let It Be: inside:
and out:Yeah! I saw that outside BC Place video earlier! I have to say that I felt kinda bad for the person who recorded it, who couldn't get in to actually see the concert (couldn't afford or just couldn't get tickets) so he/she stood and listened to it from outside and even recorded a couple of the songs. (I think that Day Tripper was the other one) The poster commented: "A piece of history in Vancouver, Canada 2012. Outside BC Place Stadium where Paul McCartney was playing. Quality is not that great but it's still cool to hear it from outside for free, even in the cold night air." and "There were a few other people standing outside who looked like they would have been the age to see it back in the 1960s, but probably missed that chance too. They stood there through the whole thing bearing the cold temperatures. Then the mass ocean of people came out of the stadium."

Loved the setlist. The look on the Delta Pipe Band was priceless. Abe and Macca were having too much fun dancing.

He gets pretty creative there with his picking on Blackbird!
Yes, I noticed that too!
He did that in Houston; some thought Paul had lost his way a bit. Turns out, he meant to do that. I like it.
He did this at the billionaire's birthday party as well, and there were some comments from us (me included!) about how he messed it up. Guess he's either doing it on purpose, or very consistent with his screw-ups.

What a fantastic concert. Paul came to sound check in a very good mood, put up with all our razzing & gave us a big welcome, which we gave right back. The food was great, real spicy. The concert was one of those special ones where you can't believe it, can hardly take it all in. His voice was smooth & pure especially on his solo acoustic songs, amazing. Of course the band was in good spirits too. Rusty got his little solo, the whole place reacted with applause as if to say oh, sorry, we forgot you with Paul being on stage. Abe once again blew everybody's mind, Brian was all over the place, I think he was having the most fun. Wix came on with the best licks I ever heard from him. The energy of the group & the crowd stole the show. They love him so much. So many characters in the audience, such a colorfull crowd, even some of Paul's relatives were there, but he didn't tell us which ones. The sound was pristine. The work they did on the arena made the acoustics perfect. Paul danced with us, cracked jokes, sang all his wonderful songs & then brought on the bagpipers. I thought I was in heaven. So worth it!
You pretty much said it all right here, and I agree with you (although no sound check for me). I had a great time and where I was sitting on the floor, everyone near us was high energy so that added a lot to it for me. The last time I saw Paul in Toronto the crowd sat down almost the entire time (on the floor!!). So yeah I was super happy and my poor feet are so suffering today. But, that's just fine too. ha!

Had my first live Mac a experience last night, and it was amazing. I've had the luck and pleasure to see some amazing shows in my 36 years, but that topped them all. Just wanted to say thank you to the people on these boards who alerted me to the pre sale process, and shared their experiences to build up the excitement for last night.

This was a truly amazing experience. I was fortunate enough to be 3rd row, centre stage on the floor. I was surrounded by amazing Macca fans that made the night even more special. I sang and danced the whole night. It was as if the crowd had waited almost 50 years and saved up their energy for this night alone. The crowd made this whole evening even more special. The soundcheck and food was amazing and for anyone who is sitting on the fence to do a VIP package. DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care how long it will take me to pay it off. It was worth every penny and more. To hear him do Mull of Kintyre live was a moment I will never forget. Thank You so much Paul. I managed to get a few great pics from the night. email me at paul"at"backyard coach.net to get a peek. All the best Paul

Paul did NOT turn up at Bruce's show tonight. Bruce never mentioned him. That Vancouver DJ who started the whole story has a lot of explaining to do!
