This thread : http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=83859 Has links to eventtravel's sound-check groups here in the UK. http://www.youtube.com/eventtravel Whilst sold through a different agency, the sound-checks are managed by the same people both sides of the pond. You can get a gist of the numbers attending and where in the venue the group sit/stand to watch the sound-check from the video clips. Sound-checks are increasingly popular though so numbers may be increasing... Martin

This show is sold out. Don't know why some aren't calling it that.

Entirely agree! Vancouver's BC Place has been sold out for many days now. I know people that have been trying to get tickets on the TM site since Sunday and for every price level - no tickets found. I tried for Edmonton tickets the day of and was totally shut out. Tried for the 2nd night and same thing. Only seats that were remaining were a few VIP seats and that was it. Those too are now gone. Thank GAWD I got my seat for Vancouver!!! I would walked to Edmonton if I could have scored a seat but no go and I could not have afforded VIP for Edmonton. I am SO excited to see Paul in Vancouver I can barely contain myself! Over the moon I am!

Vancouver Sun listed it as sold out last weekend. Maccareport.com doesn't. They might open some of those limited view sections next to the stage later.
-
The Live Nation Western Canada page posted last Friday (the day tickets went on sale to the general public) that the concert was sold out.
-
I just tried on the Live Nation iPhone app (6:40pm PDT Thurs. Sept.20th) and some great floors seats are popping up. So they must have released some additional tickets because I haven't seen any since last Friday. Good Luck!

Just tried for Edmonton on TM and no regular priced tickets for either show. I then tried BC Place and as you said, a seat now came up for section B4 row 7. Am calling my pals to let them know. Thanks for the heads up pmcanuck.

I am surprised I really believed he was going to add a show, I think it would easily sell out.

I'd love to know who else is going to the Vancouver Soundcheck...as I understand it, after the soundcheck there is a hospitality reception for those attending, and it would be great to know a few of you before hand. And anyone who has been to a soundcheck before, it would be great to hear your experiences. I was reading some of the posts on this forum about past sound check concerts and it all sounds so exciting!
I'll be at the Soundcheck with my daughter!
This is a good idea, I don't want to walk in there alone either. We should meet somewhere, it will be a big crowd, how are you going to find anyone?
Actually, I think I read somewhere that the Soundchecks and reception have about 100 people.
that's about right. Still is a small group of people to share a special experience with, if you think about how many thousands of people are attending the concert itself in a place that huge.

It's not really all that surprising when you consider the following: 1) Edmonton has two shows but they're arena shows while Vancouver is a stadium show. There will probably be more people at B.C.Place than at the two Edmonton concerts combined. 2) The Vancouver concert is Sunday and the first Edmonton concert is Wednesday. That doesn't leave a lot of time to tear down, transport and set up again since the mountain passes can be quite treacherous at that time of year. 3) Springsteen is performing next door at Roger's Arena the following night (Monday). That would pose a logistical nightmare if both were to perfom next door to each other simultaneously. That being said Yes it would be awesome if there was a second Vancouver show added.

I assumed a second show, were one to be added, would be on Saturday, not Monday. The previous show in Houston is on 11/14, so there is plenty of time to get everything into town and set up for Saturday. There's also nothing else scheduled at BC Place after 11/18. It seems unlikely, since they haven't announced anything yet, but I just checked TM and tickets are again sold out. We can dream, can't we?

Its so beautiful in Vancouver, I'm staying around to see the sites, Paul should too.

Yes BC Place is double-triple the size of Rexall, I believed it was going to be added on the Fri or Sat before the Sunday show.

Yeah, I was very, very scared that I wasn't going to get a ticket to the first announced show of Paul because Rexall is pretty small -- but I scored 7th row somehow on the Gold VIP... somehow. However, they have great views from pretty much a lot of the seats. I was told that nosebleed in there isn't bad, either, actually. But, I'm surprised he isn't adding another show in Vancouver. You guys are technically a hot spot and people actually travel to you guys for shows. Anyways, just a thought.

I think you're right on here, pmcanuck. I've never attempted the pass during the winter. The highway closes quite a bit unannounced and so does Highway 93 from Jasper to Banff during that time of year as well, because of a number of reasons... but the pass is still scarier. If the highway closes, they will need the extra time to try to get the stuff there, so it was nice of Paul and Co. to give Rexall another show -- I lucked out on the first show, though, so I was happy for my friends that if they didn't get could get then, they could try again.

They will be prepared for that, they wouldn't have the shows scheduled if they didn't think they'd be able to make it from Vancouver to Edmonton.

This is just wishful thinking, but consider this: Bruce Springsteen plays in Vancouver the very next night after Paul. He'll probably be in town the night of Paul's show... just saying. Would be pretty amazing to see him come out and perform with Paul for a song or two.

and meanwhile, all the Bruce fans keep thinking that Paul will turn up at Bruce's show to do a song or two. Very possible that neither will happen, so am not getting any hopes too high.

Never say never but do remember that in July Paul joined Bruce on stage for a couple of songs at Bruce's concert in London where the City literally pulled the plug on them mid song by cutting off the power because it was an outdoor concert and they were past their curfew. As for Paul being in town for Bruce's concert, given the choice between an extra night in Vancouver or an extra night in Edmonton in late November,hmmmmmmm...............
