An eclectic & experimental Beatles & post-Beatles collage I wish could be heard
-
Hi everyone.
I enjoy mashing together diverse musical sources to create something new. For example, mixing Steve Reich, Brand X, Stockhausen and Lustmord.
When I put together my own "Post-Beatles Beatles" album (as everyone does) I decided to do a mash for it. The result was a 13 minute collage that drew from albums like: Liverpool Sound Collage, Lennon's Wedding Album, and Anthology. It is a reflection on the life of John Lennon, and is called "Look At Me #9".
I am happy with it enough that I wish I could offer it to Paul as thanks and respect for the way he made interesting music accessible to everyone.
QUESTION: Would anyone want to hear it? It's composed entirely from Beatles & Post-Beatles sources including a whole "Look At Me" from John's Plastic Ono Band. Oh yeah, and has most of a piece from Ivor Cutler. So I do not know how to honour copyright beyond the privacy of my own computer. Needless to say, if there was some way to share it with Paul, that would be fantastic.
Thanks everyone!
Grant.

Hi,
So I'm not a fan of sound collages. But well done is never
Otherwise I wouldn't be able to help you to share your work with SIR Paul McCartney. ^^
Because I don't know how to do it myself.
I also have some songs for him. But I still haven't found the way. I tried my luck by slipping one into Great Day Fan video. But I'm not sure if it works. ^^
Otherwise I would be willing to lend you an attentive ear for your collages.
Have a nice day
Little WillowP.S. Sorry for the hassle. I don't speak English well.

Thanks Little Willow
Firstly, your English is great. I understood everything very well.
I made my piece almost 10 years ago, and it's taken this long to try passing it along. Oh well, let's see how we go.
Thanks.

Hi,
You're welcome with pleasure.
Sorry to answer so late, it's been a long time since I've been on the forum. Please tell me how you see things. I would be really happy to hear that.
Have a nice eveningLittle Willow
