could a local fan please weigh in on the weather in Houston in mid november, and safe neighborhoods in which to book hotels?
-
Houston weather in November is anyone's guess. I will predict that the evenings will be high 50's- low 60's. The venue is actually in downtown Houston. I would map hotels close to the venue and walk. Driving and parking is a nightmare. Save yourself the grief if possible!!

General sales today: The pre-sales - all of them, main site, TM et al - did have a limited number of tickets to release. There does remain a significant proportion of each venues capacity yet to be released in the general sale so try again today when those open. I posted a few tips and hints on how to be successful here: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=2614965#2614965 Best wishes to all those still trying to secure seats. Martin

Can I bring my Camcorder to the Concert? ?
-
Only small compact equipment such as compact cameras or mobile phones are usually allowed. If your camcorder is such it may be allowed into the venue. However, venue staff are briefed to interrupt anyone appearing to be making a continuous concert recording. In the worst case scenario, failure to heed their requirements can lead to either the equipment being confiscated or the owner escorted from the venue. Martin

Is November generally a dry time of year or a rainy time of year?

Typically November is not rainy. Actually it is probably one of the nicer months here.

My guess is the roof will be closed regardless of weather.. Pretty sure that has been the case at all the other shows at Minute Maid.

I hope that I don't appear to be a fool, but I bought one of those very expensive tickets that allows you to get a great seat and to meet Paul. I just found out I had a fatal cancer and after battling kidney disease for years, it threw me for a loop. I feel silly because I have to go alone and I was wondering if anyone here was going. I have to fly in and I'm feeling a lot of trepadation about going. My husband didn't want me to go. I guess I thought what the heck, I've loved Paul since I first saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan when I was a little girl. It would be a dream come true to meet him, but I feel so stupid now. Is anyone else going or did anyone else here buy a high end ticket or have you in the past?

Hi and welcome to the board I'm so sorry to hear of your health problems! Even if you won't meet Paul personally, you will have an enjoyable time at his show. With your ticket you will be able to go to the soundcheck which is usually quite different to what he performs at the show. I treated myself to a VIP ticket some years ago and it was an experience I wouldn't have wanted to miss! All the best to you Liz
