NYC, NY - MSG - 12.12.12 Sandy Relief Benefit - ARCHIVE
-
I have NO idea! Guess they haven't figured it out, yet.
-
Maybe it won't be as expensive as Concert for NY since the line up is not as big.

When will they let you know the prices?
Probably the day the tickets go on sale. I'd hope earlier, though!

That is very nice of Ticketmaster, probably the first time I have given them a compliment in my life - lol.

I checked the prices of the Concert for New York, the last big fundraising concert hosted by the good folks at Robin Hood, and they ranged from $250 to $10,000. Over 10 years ago...
Problem with those type of prices is that the crowd will be there to be "seen" and probably not into the concert as much as people on this board for example. It is like going to a Yankee game with the people who sit close to the field (high price tickets) act like they rather be somewhere else but it is a cool thing to do - lol

Answering a couple of questions: He says: ?I actually just escaped Sandy. I was so jammy. I had taken my little one on holiday to the Bahamas. The day I was supposed to be leaving, they told me there was a storm blowing in. I?d just flown out of there and that evening the storm hit. I heard something like 28 people were killed. It was terrible. I just scraped out of that.? [...] Sir Paul says: ?Harvey asked if I?d like to do it, and I had a few ideas. I?ve got a couple of special moments up my sleeve.? Did Paul or Nancy's house have any damage? I haven't heard a word about that.
-
Are they going to film the concert? Hope so!

Nancy R:
Are they going to film the concert? Hope so!
It's being broadcast on TV, so my assumption is yes.

The Dec. 12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert at Madison Square Garden will have a TV audience as well. HBO, AMC, Showtime and Sundance Channel are just four of the domestic networks that will televise the show aimed to serve as a benefit to the victims of the storm that caused tumultuous damage on the East Coast several weeks ago. Which other networks will air the concert is still being worked out, but several more are likely to be added. The show will be also be livestreamed by Hulu, Yahoo and AOL. from this article here: http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118062698#.ULVNImL8UiE.facebook

I don't think so, at least Paul didn't mention it. In one of the interviews I posted links to in the Broadcast section, he tells how he just missed the storm, as he was flying out of the Bahamas as it approached. As recently as this month, Sir Paul had a reminder of how lucky he is, after a narrow escape from Hurricane Sandy. He says: ?I actually just escaped Sandy. I was so jammy. I had taken my little one on holiday to the Bahamas. The day I was supposed to be leaving, they told me there was a storm blowing in. I?d just flown out of there and that evening the storm hit. Yeah, I've heard that one but I wondered about their homes.
