Well, girls, guess what? My tutor IS single!!!
ops: I asked him today and made him blush....he wanted to know why and I very coyly said I was curious
I thought if I ask him out tonight...it might scare him off....but oh my GOD! the butterflies! I wish they'd stop fluttering!! The next time I see him (which will be in two weeks time, as there's no class next week due to half-term), I will definitely ask him out....I'm a modern day woman and I don't think there's anything wrong with taking the first step! Diana, and Lauren, thank you....it must have been all the good vibes you sent me
Lauren, how did it go with your crush...take a leaf out of my book, and at least ask him whether he's single or not....then he knows you are interested....you ARE, aren't you?
I can't!!
ops: There is flirting going on though!!
ops:
Well, step up the flirting then!

Oh my!!!!!!!!!!! You finally did it!!!!!!! YESSSSSSS! I'm proud of you! Two weeks of waiting?? It is too long but it will give him the time to come up with the thoughts and to think the situation over, so it is even better! We will be able to prepare more properly!
Gosh, I'd LOVE to see his face... You have already made first step, so the most difficult thing is behind. I'm agreed with Sara's advice - don't be "in love", remember you are "a modern day woman"!
Phew..... I feel myself much better now! Butterflies!

Thanks Diana, for all your wishes....but I do agree with you, two weeks is a long time...now I'm wishing I'd asked him out yesterday!!
But it'll soon pass, and it gives both of us time to think things over.......not that I need much thinking....I KNOW I want to ask him out!

Yeah, I'll ask him out for a drink....and hope that he says "yes"!
ops: I'll be mortified if he says "no"!
-
By the way, Diana, are you feeling better now?
-
Ooo good. How it will be in English "Let's go Dutch?" Have you got this expression? Thank you, Roopa! My nose still can't breath and smell but the rest is ok!

Yeah we do have the "going Dutch" expression in English...it's exactly that....you do mean splitting the tab don't you?

I don't it in your country.... But if it is your invitation you should be prepared for it - you are independent and modern
But if he is a gentleman.... What are you going to do?

Yeah if I ask him out, I wouldn't expect to go Dutch....I would expect to pay for it all(being the modern, independent woman that I am).....but as you said if he is a gentleman and insists......who knows?.... this is all of course presuming he'll say "yes" when I do ask him out!

I'm so excited!!!!!! We will see... Have you already chose the place? restaurant or bar?
-
Well, we'll probably go to a bar....there's loads of nice ones in Sheffield...it's a university town, and you know students are very fond of the drink
....having said that, I don't want to go anywhere too studenty. I might take him to my fave Italian place....where they make proper Italian food....and they have a restaurant if you want to eat...or if you don't then there's a separeate bar area....but then I wonder if that'll be too close to home....you know he IS Italian after all!! Anyway, I don't want to count my chickens before they are hatched....I'm superstitious like that....let's see what happens in two weeks time
-
In the meantime, I hope Rusty will keep me company....
I haven't forgotten about him!
ops: Isn't it great news about Brian's CD?
I wonder what it'll sound like!

that's amazing news!!!! I wanted to hear Brian's album since I first saw him. I was wondering what kind of voice he has? what melodies he likes and so on... I think it will be something opposite to Rusty: more "love"... I don't know why but for me Brian has a connection with "love" thingy.

yeah, Rusty seems more like the wild child (just what I like), while Brian will probably be more mellow....who knows?

What's this about Brian's cd? as you can see, I'm not a regular poster in the Brian thread, so I'm clueless of what's going on...
