[I hate to say this ,but if Rusty is waiting for sunny weather in England,it could be a long wait ]
Totally agree with you there Dawn...the sun only comes out once in a dark blue moon , and can't even see the moon here in Sheffield....it's cloudy....can't complain, though....at least it's not raining!!! What's the weather like where you are?
It is pouring with rain here today !! [ I really need some sunshine ]
-
It rained so much in London last night but now the sun's coming up.

As for a rescheduled tour, hang tight! And think of it this way: the weather there in January is the pits, especially for a So Cal boy, so less chance for evil weather when it finally happens (remember, we are so spoiled here that a day without sunshine is cause for comment, much less sleet etc). Rusty's Eulogy bandmate Myles Crawley will have a wonderful song for download soon, it is called "Launching Paper Cranes" and the $$ goes to tsunami relief. Myles' young son is one of Rusty's biggest fans and I am sure he will soon rival Rusty's guitar skills. I will let you guys know when it is up online for download.
Corinne, looking forward to listen to Myles Crawley's song! Wow, his son is Rusty's fan, great!

Nah, I don't think the weather bothers him one way or another. But it was one of the bonuses of having to postpone it - always looking for a bright side, I did point out that at least he would have better weather later.
I guees Rusty will never come to Russia... Sun?? What are you talking about? I forgot about the sun - it is snowing here all day long!
-
Rusty and Myles have been dear friends since grade school, and it's such a kick for Myles' son to see his lifelong friend Rusty on stage. As for the weather, So Cal got a bonus of about two weeks of glorious spring-like sun, but it started raining last night. Oh well, we SO need it, just not all at once like we got last month. They are still having problems with sliding hillsides that are saturated with rain.

Is the weather sunny most of the year there ?? or do you get some winter weather ??
-
Yeah, it's mostly sunny here. Our "winter weather" (in Los Angeles, anyway), is usually 40-60 degrees Fahrenheit. That's 4 to 16 Celsius, I think...

Honey, "winter weather" was when I lived on Old Church Street in Chelesa, looked out the window, saw snow and thought "No way." Rolled over and went back to sleep. "Winter Weather" in So Cal is when you have a day where it doesn't get to 60 degrees (14 degrees C-ish) and are then horrified at how cold it is. Or bark "Oh my GOD, it was down to 38 last night!" Rain comes in when attached to a rainstorm, rarely a gentle shower, and all the news channels suddenly jump to attention and "We're on Storm Track! Film at 11!" No one knows how to drive in the rain either (which can be most un-funny, since there is no such thing as being carless). The average winter temperature in Los Angeles - in January, which is the coldest month - is 66 degrees (approx 17 degrees C). We do not wear winter coats. Most of the horses at our stables are kept in outdoor, half-covered (12'x24') stalls; the stables are open until 10 PM (the whole place is lit), and the jackets don't come out in the evenings until mid-October or so. Unless it's raining, the convertible tops are down. So, for us, "weather" is very exciting. Because for us, we are blessed in that bad weather is the exception, not the rule. Edited to change the temperatures in C.

I think i was born in the wrong country !! I would do anything to see some sun right now

The last month I lived in London, I did not see the sun for 32 days straight. I can totally understand why people suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder!
-
I agree ,everyone always seems happier when the sun is shinning

Thanks a lot for telling about the climate, Corinne, it was an interesting reading. So, have Cali people ever seen the snow?? It must be too dull to have a Christmas and New Year without it, no fun to dress up the palms. There should be one advantage of having winter!
-
Corinne, can I move in with you, please?
-
We have lots of snow, it is up on the mountains surrounding Los Angeles. You could easily ski in the morning and surf in the afternoon. But as for snow in LA proper, never. And thank goodness for that. Much better to look at the mountains and see it, but not be in it unless by choice! Think of it: how many TV shows that take place in California every show anything but sunshine? Very few. Orange County (south of Los Angeles) is home of MTV's show "Laguna Beach" and the new-ish series "The OC" (even though most of "The OC" is filmed in LA county, the place for Balboa Bars is about 20 minutes from my office). I can't think of anywhere I'd rather live.

Stop it!! *zips up fleece and mutters jealous thoughts under breath*

Sounds like heaven Do your horses like sun or do they prefere the shade ?.I know nothing about horses, except that about 40 years ago [i was 4 ] i got bitten by one of the pit ponys.from the coal mines that used to live in the fields at the bottom of our garden in Wales. We used to feed them apples, and it was my own fault because the pony wanted the apple and i didn't let go !! It's funny because i remember it so well and sometimes i forget what i went to the fridge for And i haven't been near a horse since.Maybe one day .
-
I used to have ponies in Wales too!!
