However I'm curious about the girls that are shown in the DVD during sound check playing 'Matchbox' that were dancing where the seats, and on the side of the stage during 'Back in the USSR'...could they be the Band's girlfriends (and wives, considering that Wix is married)???? Or just lucky fans who won some contest to see the band doing sound check and watch the show from the side of the stage? I have no idea :
I think they are girls from the pre-show...
May be you are right, but I've read Russian boy's review on the Red Square concert (he also took part in pre-show) where he says that he saw Rusty visiting one girl in her dressing room for several times... It may be just the rumors or something ... Actually, don't know is it true. :

Rusty song of the moment: Ishmael. I love the lyrics - very meaningful. This is a song that makes you think!

You're right. I think out of all the tracks on UU, it stands out as being 'different 'to me, somehow - I think because of the lyrics. It's a great song.

Oh, you are VERY lucky!!! I couldn't buy my one because I haven't got credit card. About what Rusty talks in it? I think it's great that Rusty is so available for interviews and we can learn about him a lot! and I'm waiting for a chat with him on the Jorie's website!

A lot of the questions have already been covered in other interviews. Rusty talks about how the Beatles influenced him to become a musician, about his former band Eulogy and about how he came to work with Paul. He describes what it?s like to work with Paul in the studio ? he says that because the Beatles were such a huge part of his musical background he found it easy to play that Beatles type of sound. He also talks about the last tour and how the band only rehearsed for 2 weeks before it. He says that having to re-learn a lot of the Beatles songs for the tour gave him a new insight into their music. He noticed little things about some of the songs that he hadn?t noticed before. He talks about Red Square and what an amazing experience it was to be in Russia. He also mentions Heather and how happy Paul is with her - that was really sweet. He talks a little about UU as well, but nothing he hasn?t said in other interviews. One very interesting thing Rusty says in the interview, which I hadn?t read before, is about the song ?Freedom?. Paul wrote that song really quickly for the concert for NY. He didn?t intend it to be a musical masterpiece or hit single. The idea was that people could sing along with the song, even though they?d never heard it before. I never thought of it like that ? it?s very true!

There's a Borders in my city that used to sell them, I haven't checked lately; I'll go there very soon or so and see if it's there. Last time I checked, they told me that they don't sell them which made me but since it was finally released, I'll check again.

Thak you, Fi!!! It was very kind of you to tell us about Rusty, so great thanks again! You know, I've noticed one thing, may be it'll be a sacrilege for all The Beatles fans, but I like how Beatles' songs sound in the performance of current Macca's band... They give all of them new fresher and modern sound! Please, all Beatles fans, don't get me wrong!!!

Borders doesn't carry it anymore, so that means I gotta join! Okay, I could do that... I agree with you Diana, this current band that Paul has more beat to it. His last previous band, with Hamish Stuart and Robbie whatever-his-last-name-is was sloooooooooow. I just saw the Get Back concert recently from '89 and I'm thinking "shouldn't this song be over by now?" No offense towards Linda at all, because I have Wings Over America and I listen to it practically once a week! I don't think having the previous band being too slow was her fault to keep up. With this one, not only does the band play well and have great chemistry, there are some good lookers too Paul's best bands are Beatles, '75-77 Wings, and 2001-present band, IMO...

Thanks, Fiona. It shouldn't be too much longer till the 'The Beat Goes On And On' interview is published.

I agree, Diana. Even though it's impossible to beat the original versions of many of these songs, this band have really breathed new life into them. Rusty's solo on Let It Be in Dublin was breathtaking; it was completely different to the original version but it worked beautifully. She's Leaving Home had never been one of my favourite Beatles songs until I heard it performed live by this band. The harmonies sounded fantastic live in the open air!!

You know, Jeannette, my father is great fan of Hamish and Robbie (as for me I like much more Wings with Denny and to my mind Get Back is too dull with Hamish and Robbie) but when he saw Rusty and Brian on guitars and how they were jumping, singing and playing at the same time!.. everything was changed, now his favourite song is Vanilla Sky and when he starts to watch any Macca's show he always answer if Rusty is playing in it... but he doesn't share my opinion that "there are some good lookers", anyway, I still think that current Macca's BAND is the BEST!!!!
