Last night was Paul McCartney's Tulsa show. It was such an incredible experience. Rusty making himself available at the Guitar Center early in the day was a wonderful addition to the day. We got to spend time & get his cd. Thanks, so. The concert in the BOK arena was wonderful. Everyon sounded terrific, Rusty "got down" with it, and Paul was, well, just amazing Paul. The show has moved to my #2 all time concert, second only to The Beatles in Indianapolis 9/3/1964, my #1 all time event. Thanks, so. http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=477635894&albumID=889651&imageID=8273371

Hi Kimsey, et al I just got back from Tulsa. The show was great -- fabulous audience. I did at least manage to get over to the Guitar Center to see Rusty at the signing event Monday after all. I picked up a Cd for myself and one for my good friend Julie. I was glad to be able to get the Cd for her as she had splurged and gotten the sound check package concert tickets for us ? partly as a way to get through her first birthday weekend being single again as she and her husband split up recently. I went through something similar a few years ago when my guy of 10 years and I broke it off, and even if you know it?s for the best it?s still really really hard after that long. And hard on everyone around you, too ? since Julie is like a little sister to me it?s been a distressing time for all of us. Julie had really wanted to meet Rusty but was still sleeping back at the hotel since her flights from San Jose had been extremely delayed and she hadn?t gotten in until 4:45am Monday morning? I was also delayed flying in from San Francisco, just not quite so much. (Which raises the off-topic question: why build an airline hub in a place with weather -- like Denver or Chicago??) But at least this time when I met Rusty I did manage to overcome my bashfulness enough to speak in complete sentences. You will be interested to know that Rusty told me that the mix for Julia Roberts that is on the Cd is slightly different than the one available for download, but I confess to not even having had a chance to listen to it yet ? The worst thing was that with my usual bad timing I ended up being ill for the sound check and concert that evening. : After I left Rusty?s signing at around 2, I grabbed a late lunch. By about 3:30 I started to feel ill ? cold, clammy, and nauseated. I took a few Imodium and that got me through the sound check and then later the concert but I felt pretty under the weather ? it?s kind of hard to rock out when you feel like you are about to keel over! It also meant that I didn?t get to enjoy the great veggie buffet that they served us either. Paul arrived late for the sound check due to flight problems of his own, and I thought he looked tired when he got there, but he gave us a great ?show? anyway. They played some unexpected stuff ? a really solid ?Let ?em in?, for one, and he even played Yesterday as his acoustic choice, which I didn?t expect at a sound check. Julie took some photos and I know that she got one of Rusty sitting with his guitar listening to Paul do Yesterday ? I will try to get her to send it to me so I can post it here for you guys. I decided not to take a camera myself, since, in addition to feeling unwell last night, I find it pulls me out of the moment too much to be shooting at an event like that. The concert itself was good; Paul seemed really energized by the enthusiastic crowd. It was too hot in the arena, but then at least it wasn?t raining! I thought that Rusty seemed a little less engaged than sometimes, but I saw him stretching his shoulder out at the sound check, so maybe it was bothering him again. I sincerely hope to get to see the guys play again someday from such good seats ? we were in the fourth row; hopefully when I am feeling a LOT better! At least my friend threw herself into having a really good time (as only she can), so that was great, she needs it right now. - Kristi

I agree with all these statements, but The Beatles in Indianapolis cannot be my #1 all time concert because I have not been to one of those. I am listening to Rusty's music right now. He was awesome. Thanks for sharing your photos.

If someone will tell me how to post photos to this forum, I'll send mine (from Todd whose was much better than mine) of Paul's arrival in Tulsa at the BOK and some of the show. It was beyond wonderful. And, seeing all those Tulsa fans was beyond wonderful: "THE BOYS IN MY ROW and those sitting right with me," Rusty, Danelle, Joe, Linda, Mary, all of the rest of you who have not yet sent your email addresses. By the way, I will gather all the photos and videos of all of us and circulate among us, IF you send them to me, email or USPS. Either way, I cannot ever repay all of your loving kindnesses. When you share a experience like we did on Monday, you know John's imprimatur to Give Peace a Chance really is possible, at least for a while. I'll post one of my favorite photos--the fans behind me looking loving and wonderful as they gazed on the Show! Love, Love Me, Do, Olivia Anne oamfuchs@aye.net 3803 Ashridge Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40241-1652 P.S. Rusty, I DID see you; now, I want to know if you really did see ME, TOO. I was the one screaming and bawling, as I said I would be, remember. P.P.S. The gorgeous young man with you at Guitar Center Monday who I mistook for one of your bandmembers and I ran into each other after the concert and agreed you all are truly amazing. YOU ROCK!

Hi, Rusty doesn't post here...although he might read this thread occassionally... You can post pics here by either giving the link for your photo page or clicking Img (right-hand-side corner of this window while typing this post) before and after the url link of your photo... hope it wasn't too confusing...

Kristi, I'm curious about that sitting picture.
Hey Kimsey: I am not sure it will look too much different than the other one posted here from the sound check (I only saw it on her camera), but Julie is generally a good photographer (she has shot animals in Africa, tracked and photographed moose in winter in Canada, etc.)-- though this was a brand new camera, so... ? I will try to get it from her, and any others that she is willing to share that may be of interest, as soon as I get the chance. (I am just currently really not happy to find myself back at work and still swamped! I am the only cataloger, so I have a lot of stuff that needs to get out ASAP as there are requests waiting to be filled, all in addition to running my unit and working the public service desk.)

I listened to Rusty's CD today and really enjoyed it.

Hey I think I chatted with you at his Chango's gig in San Antonio a couple months ago? You told me you went to Coachella?
Yes that was me! I didn't realize we'd met. Coachella was the 1st time I had the opportunity to see Sir Paul and the band live. It was such an amazing experience, I just had to have more. So when these Summer shows were announced I jumped at the chance to relive it all again (and again)! It's been a wonderful experience, and I've been fortunate to meet some truly amazing people. I'm not ready for this to end - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more. In the meantime, there's Rusty's show at The Hotel Cafe next week. Any chance you'll be there?
