Rusty was the dj last night for an hour on thesoundla.com radio. He played songs among others by the Rolling Stones:Route 66, Paul McCartney:Little Lamb Dragonfly, Jeff Beck, the Yardbirds, Elvis, etc.. and he also played two of his own songs Born On Earth and Where Would We Go?. It was great! You can get the entire playlist here: http://www.thesoundla.com/?nid=11
bwaaaahahaha!!! Back on Earth! OMG hahaha whoops they got that wrong that's what Renee has to sing to him when the tour stops. Back on earth oh yeah, take out the garbage mister
Jena, that made me laugh. The record release party is tonight.... wish we could be there too...
Hey, Kimsey, well, I did make it to Rusty's event, (barely,my flight was delayed 3 hours! ) he did a great job in the interview sections; he was charming, and funny and bright. (And his hair looked great ) The band was good, it must have been a little intimidating in such a small, well lit venue. Crowd responded well, and I think everybody had a good time. There seemed to be a fair number of people who were new to Rusty's music, so that was cool. They raffled off a Rusty signed guitar, it went to a Frenchman who was there with his family, he was really happy. I had to leave right after the show, So I didn't get to talk to Rusty. (I actually heard from my boss during the show : We have a meeting with the City Manager tomorrow first thing and I had to run back to the hotel to get some info. I know that I should just be grateful to HAVE a job right now, but I sort of feel like my job is just really draining my Spirit... we deal with so many people in distress, staff hours are cut again for part-timers, and the rest of us are sinking under the strain of too much to do. ) Anyway, I was lucky to get to go at all, I know. I was sorry to not have the chance to look around for any boardies, just the way things worked out... I'm sure someone else can give the setlist. I have to turn in; the airport shuttle is picking me up at 3am, for a 6am flight, ugh!
Kristi at least you squeaked in! I love his band, but only met Matt and Todd. When I saw them Todd did a little Harry Nilsson song and he sings like an angel! They are a great little combo sorry your boss horned in on the whole thing : what a bringdown :

Thanks, Jena. (So sorry for whining... ops: ) Yeah, I was disappointed, I had really hoped to completely escape work for an evening, but, I was actually very lucky to get the time off right then on shortish notice to even get down there, especially since I am already taking off next Monday and Tuesday. Yeah, they are a good band. I think that the overall sound just keeps getting better each time I see them play. The energy on Born on Earth last night swept up the crowd. I agree, Todd is a talented singer, I have seen him sing in the past. FYI they were filming last night in 3D for the Guitar Center Sessions series that they are going to have on Direc TV (satellite TV), for those you who can get it. The website had this info: "Working together, DirecTV and Panasonic Launch 3D with the first 24/7 channel in 3D, ?n3D?, located at Channel 103 on DirecTV. DIRECTV & Panasonic team up to bring best 3D to digital satellite TV. Channel n3D powered by Panasonic will offer a wide variety of 24 hour programming from DirecTV, including music, sports, nature and arts. DirecTV will also offer original programming such as ?Guitar Center Sessions? with Jane?s Addiction and Peter Gabriel..." Too bad that we can't install satellite where I live, and no one I know has DirecTV, I don't think... but I got to be there so I have nothing to complain about!

Mod Post We understand Rusty maintains a Facebook profile, so any information he wants to share will be posted there - or you may have the opportunity to ask him directly via that site. As far as this message board is concerned, we like to treat the personal lives of Paul's Family and friends with respect - and we would view his band as being close "family" and afford Rusty the same degree of respect for his private life. So it not really appropriate to ask for, or answer with, close personal details - unless Rusty himself has posted the material on his own personal web-site and Facebook profile. This thread, and the whole message board, is devoted to the professional work of Paul and his band - their music, concerts, and any public activities they undertake to promote those. Details of their personal lives are respected, please respect that by avoiding posting or requesting such personal details. Thank You Martin

I saw her pic somewhere and she' looks nice and friendly. Congrats to Rusty! Have some kids man... However, the bachelor in the group is SIR PAUL McCARTNEY

I saw the Scarlet Furies at my hotel this weekend and they mentioned that their CD was produced by Rusty Anderson, guitarist currently of Paul McCartney fame. The mention of his name earned them a smatttering of applause largely from my direction

I like their music and their producer too. Great that you got to see them!

Okay, so this actually opened a few days ago, but I was waiting for a few reasons to make this public. I've made a fansite for Rusty, Sentimental Chaos and you can find the link in the name or below. Hope it's okay with the mods that I post this: I respect Rusty's privacy very much so I never post anything that is not already public knowledge or already in interviews. http://rusty-anderson.net

It certainly appears to be a most worthy organization. Such a troubled region of the world; makes my heart ache and my head spin. (Witness Lebanon at the moment. ..) One certainly wants to believe that there are solutions that can be found, but it's all so complex. Still, history tells us that Sadat and Meir sat down at the table, so it seems that anything is possible. Peace has to start somewhere. I can only applaud Rusty for doing what he can.

Music is the perfect example of what a philosophy of cooperation can accomplish! ♫ it's awesome he is raising awareness. Renee looks like such a nice girl, I hope her ppl are safe, wherever they are. We're all just people.

Most people -- most musicians -- would do just about anything to be in Rusty Anderson's shoes. Since 2001, the guitarist and vocalist has toured with Paul McCartney, the closest thing there is to true rock royalty. "Obviously, the music is amazing," said Anderson, who performed Wednesday and Thursday with the former Beatle as the opening act at the Consol Energy Center, Uptown. "And Paul is a wonderful guy and all that makes it work. It makes it consistently great."

I didn't see it noticed in this thread, but I was watching the White House PBS performance, and when the credits roll, the name Rusty Scott was used - and no Rusty Anderson. Anybody know WTF>?
