Paul and the boys arrive in Paraguay together on a private jet:

Hope of Deliverance in Bogota:
It is amazing to see all five of them play the guitar. I hope they will play it again tomorrow in Floripa and that it will stay in the setlist. I hope to see them play it in Europe! -
It's a cute little ditty, I like that it's kinda Spanish in flavor, but somehow the fervor over it glances off me : Why is it so epic for everyone else? Perhaps because I, cynical American, know there is no hope for my deliverance! Gave up that hope! It never caught on big over here, maybe that's why. I''d rather hear Mother Nature's Son, or Young Boy. Or Revolution.

I love the songs you mentioned, especially Young Boy. Hope of Deliverance was a huge hit in Europe and in South America. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hope_of_Deliverance It was played on MTV and on the radio every day when it was released. There was even a Paul McCartney Sunday on MTV at that time and I was glued to the TV all day. I totally adore his acoustic songs. I'd love if he did some unplugged shows again. Otherwise as you know, I'm pretty cynical too and my taste is very similar to yours.
-
Yeah I see that it was high in parts of Europe but I don't see any data there from South America? It says it gets airplay but no hard numbers. No surprise bc we tend to neglect the Southern Hemisphere, until Paul magically discovered it last year I'm not slammin it, I bought Off the Ground when it came out, and I had that song on my itunes and my Paul Mccartney jukebox for awhile it's cute, I just don't relate to hoping for anything much less deliverance.
-
You were fast again! I don't think it can be explained why some ppl like it and some don't. Funnily enough Off The Ground isn't one of my fave albums but I love HOD. To be on topic instead of being off, here's one of my fave songs from Rusty. :
-
Yeah I am still sitting here drinking my tea avoiding the day to each their own. I'd trade HOD for Revolution live any day of my life! But I LOVE "off the ground." Golden earth girl is sooo beautiful! and lovers that never were! He NEVER writes waltzes! every single song is good. except I don't like biker like an icon
-
I agree about Golden Earth Girl, but no way would I want to hear Revolution more instead of HOD.
-
well alright even though it has some great moments for whomever is on lead guitar
-
BUMP I wonder when new shows will be announced and where they will be. Until then here's an old rehearsal video of Paul and My Band:
And here's my favourite rehearsal: -
Rusty's latest tweet: "I'm hearing the noisy crowd from backstage at estradio azteca. this is gonna be amazing!"

I think it's old stuff despite Rusty's recent tweet about it. He mentioned this band or rather their singer in one of his myspace blogs long time ago. The record was probably re-released as it was first released in 2008 according to wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Why_Store

I'm happy for them all everyone support Rusty!

Rusty tweeted today: "just got into london warm london. twil be nice to fire up the band to rock the queen."

Paul and the Band's performance last night stole the show at the Diamond Jubilee! It was spectacular! Absolutely brilliant (as usual). Paul's jacket was gorgeous. It was great to see the Royal Family standing up for Paul. Paul is the best! I enjoyed Obladi Oblada at the end of the concert.
