Hi ((Jeannette))! Haven't seen you for ages on the board, how are you?
-
Well, tomorrow I'll be getting my computer back and after updating my AOL and getting it back into the groove, I'll be back in action After seeing the pic of Rusty and Paul sharing the mike, I can't help but feel that Paul really misses sharing his mike with John, George, and Linda...and I can't help but notice that Rusty had to bend down his knees to meet Paul's height!

Not where I am, that's more of the middle part of the States. I'm on the East coast- the closest thing we had was a water spout (a tornado on water) but that was on the Golf of Mexico. All we are having are thunderstorms.

I'm just back from Gothenburg and it's been an incredible few days. Paul's show was fantastic! The band sounded great and Rusty looked like he was having a really good time on stage. His solo on Maybe I'm Amazed sounded better than I've ever heard it before - no one plays that guitar solo as well as Rusty! The only big disappointment was that I missed my flight connection from Heathrow to Gothenburg because my flight into Heathrow from Cork was delayed. This meant that I MISSED RUSTY'S SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still can't believe it - Rusty Anderson finally performed on my side of the world and I couldn't be there. The events of the following day more than made up for it but I'm still really disappointed. Did anyone get to see his show? I'd love to know what he sang and how he sounded "unplugged"!

Oh no, Fi!!! That can't be so that's really awful!! I hoped sooooo much to hear from you about your experience of watching and listening to Rusty live. It's pity, because I know how much you wanted to see him. I'll hope next time nothing will let you down. There is a little post on the "hello from gothenburg" thread (HERE) about watching Rusty live. But it's too small.
I managed switching my seating ticket to a standing. So i was at at the fence. At same level where The DJ is during preshow. This was the best day of my life. Seeing a former Beatle playing outdoors for the first ever in Sweden, I am sure he will come back. I know that Rusty loves it here. "Its been very nice here. I wished i could have stayed longer. I know Rusty had a nice time doing acoustic concert and signing his new CD. I wish Rusty will play more acoustic shows. He is very good at it. Me and Diana watched rustys soundcheck before they let all people inside. Yeahhh it was a special thing for me. So now i am also a rusty fan. I also always listened to all Dylan records. He reminds me of him. I can tell that Dylan has made an impact on Rustys song writing.

I'm so sorry your flight was delayed and you missed Rusty's show! What a disappointment! I hope the opportunity will come around again.

Thanks, Diana. So Rusty signed afterwards too!! I'd packed my UU cover just in case he did. It's so frustrating but these things happen, I suppose. Hopefully I'll get another opportunity to see him live. By the way - Rusty and Paul shared the microphone for part of The End so that could be when that photo you posted a few days ago was taken.

Jorie has posted a review of Rusty's show in Gothenburg on her website: http://www.photos.mccartney.net/rustysweden.htm It sounds like it was a great show.

Thanks, Fi. It does sound great. I bet Electric Trains sounds great as an acoustic. He looks fantastic sitting there in that picture, too.

After seeing Rustys acoustic first ever concert in Gothenburg. Since then Rusty is my favorite in the band. Abe comes a good second. Plz Macca never ever get rid of your current band. Then i wont go to your shows in future if u do ;). Finally u found the best band members suited for u !

Yes, I completely agreed with you - the current band is the best. I think it would be great for Paul and for all of us to have this band members on all the tours.
-
I agree too, Paul's current band just rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrocks
-
Paul had three best bands in his life time: The Beatles, 1976 Wings, and this current band with Rusty, Abe, Brian, and Wix.
-
Well said, Jeannette! Agreed.

This is a test. thank you
