Hi guys and gals, Yesterday I was listening to this masterpiece called Flaming Pie, and I was wondering what Paul would have performed from it, should a tour happened. Of course that we'll never know, but we could guess. My two cents go with: - The World Tonight - Flaming Pie - Beautiful Night - Calico Skies - Young Boy - Somedays or Little Willow (before "Yesterday") Probably "If You Wanna" too, but even if it was performed during soundcheck in 1993, it doesn't seem to fit well for a live rendition. Vocals are very low and uncomfortable to sing live. Besides, would Hammish, Robbie and Blair have been part of Paul's band? I am sure that Wix would have been in. See ya!

      Paul:
      12 Dec 93 - B. Aires, ARG
      10/11 Nov 10 - B. Aires, ARG
      19 Apr 14 - Montevideo, URU (+ soundcheck)
      15 May 16 - Cordoba, ARG
      17/19 May 16 - B. Aires, ARG

      Ringo:
      7/8 Nov 11 - B. Aires, ARG
      8/9 Nov 13 - B. Aires, ARG
      1 Mar 15 - B. Aires, ARG

I'd have loved to hear "Souvenir" as well, as it's such a beauty. LOVE it.

It's my fav off the album along with Beautiful Night, but I don't think that it would have worked live.

If they had done some smaller venues and done an Unplugged-type show for the album (which I think would have worked quite well), I think they could have pulled it off.

"Free As A Bird" could have been a nice inclusion, too.

The World Tonight, Young Boy and Beautiful Night could be slotted in now no problem.

he could replace the current tributes with this!

I'd like to include "The Songs We Were Singing" in any dream Flaming Pie tour we create. It's a great album starter and great overall song.

Cool idea! I'll make a full setlist when I have more time, but I think he would've played these from the album... The Songs We Were Singing The World Tonight Young Boy Flaming Pie Calico Skies Beautiful Night Great Day ....and just a personal add, "Heaven on a Sunday"....he'll probably never play it live, but we can dream right?

Love the song choice, especially "The Songs We Were Singing". I'm going to make another plug for "Souvenir" though, as I ADORE that song.

He played six songs live from Flowers In The Dirt, six from Off The Ground and four songs from Driving Rain. I bet that same number from Flaming Pie would have been five or six. I don't think Free As A Bird would have worked, as intriguing as it sounds though. My picks for the most likely ones... - Flaming Pie - Calico Skies - The World Tonight - Beautiful Night - Young Boy - Somedays If You Wanna could also replace either Young Boy or The World Tonight.
