Flaming Pie Tour

I would love to hear Young Boy and The World Tonight live.
He performed these on TV at the time. Well, sort of. Not real live versions but neither mimed. I think he played all the instruments separately and then glued the tracks so he sang live using those as the backing track. I could be wrong, though.
I remember him doing this on Oprah...can't recall the songs he did, though...he also had the "Little Willow" video on Oprah. Am I right that Mary had a lot to do with that video?

Cool idea! I'll make a full setlist when I have more time, but I think he would've played these from the album... The Songs We Were Singing The World Tonight Young Boy Flaming Pie Calico Skies Beautiful Night Great Day ....and just a personal add, "Heaven on a Sunday"....he'll probably never play it live, but we can dream right?
I can't think of any tour in which Paul has sung 7 songs from his new album. Usually we get 4 -- not enough in my book. He pretty much always does the singles, so we'd have gotten The World Tonight, Young Boy and Beautiful Night. The 4th spot would likely have gone to Calico Skies or Flaming Pie, since he's done both on later tours. Maybe he'd have done both, but 5 new songs seems be the absolute top, much to my dismay. And this isn't a new wrinkle -- Wings Over America crowds only got to hear 4 songs from "Speed of Sound." But at least back then he was playing lots of other recent material.

On Oprah he did Flaming Pie and, I think, Young Boy. On FP he was at the piano on stage but with video of him playing all the instruments -- but it was definitely the instrumental tracks from the album, not something specially done for the show.

How about a TUG OF WAR tour while we're at it??

...or wait another year and do a "War and Peace" Tour.

If any tour comes first, I'm wanting a Ram tour, combined with a Flaming Pie tour. Maybe like Brian Wilson's Smile tour, where the show had two parts and an intermission...

I love to hear: Calico Sky. A great melody. Nice acoustic guitar. Flaming Pie. Heard that one in '05. Sounded good. Great Day. Another very nice acoustic guitar song. Young Boy. Just play Flaming Pie from beginning to end. It was/is great.

The top two are fantastic live! I'd really love to hear "Great Day" as well--beautiful song. And yes, the whole Flaming Pie album live would be AMAZING.

I wish Paul would do more songs off this album! I know we have got Flaming Pie live a lot of times before, but Young Boy, Little Willow, and Beautiful Night would be so amazing to hear him play live! I wish on his next tour he would add these songs to the setlist! That would be amazing!
