Well, there's the festival in MD in June, and Japan for April has been mentioned. And South America later in the year.
What festival in Maryland?
I think he meant the Firefly Music Festival in Delaware...
A solid two hours outside of Maryland...I'll believe that when I see it. I think the biggest name I've heard through there is Tom Petty...again, I'll believe it when I see it...and I'll be there!

Not one bit! I'll be all over it if it comes through, but knowing the recent history of the festival I think Paul is way, way, WAY too big for it

I read a bunch of the posts on that "Inforoo" message board for festivals which was linked earlier in this thread, and the posters there do think he is going to play it this year. He does seem to like festivals lately, and Firefly would be another one he hasn't played yet. He has done most of the big US ones already with the exception of Lollapalooza, and I still keep thinking that one is coming some day. so meanwhile, we wait!

I am feeling this Delaware show will happen. Paul likes playing festivals.
-
If he doesn't play firefly I will be VERY surprised based on what i've heard. I'm not saying book a hotel yet, but I would definitely clear some calender space.

http://www.delawareonline.com/story/pulpculture/2015/01/16/mccartney-firefly/21855987/ So where are these rumors coming from and are they legit? It's hard to be certain, but they originated on the fan-run Bonnaroo message board Inforoo by a user that posts under the name "infinitypass." According to AlternativeNation.net, the user is a "well known Inforoo insider who has been 100% accurate in festival leaks over the years. The same source has called the Bonnaroo and [New York's Governors Ball Music Festival] headliners for this year before they dropped."

Sounds like a done deal to me.

It only gets close to a done deal when we see it on the main site...it's not a done deal until the "deal" (or concert) is...done

Believe me, we New Mexico fans know from experience.

From what I've heard for some sources the Dover show is a done deal. So look for an announcement coming pretty soon.

Anyone here going to the Firefly Festival?
As soon as it's confirmed, YES!!! My father just moved to Delaware, so my lodging is taken care of!

However...I just did a bit of research on their website. Four day passes are $250 (for a basic pre-sale no frills or anything) ...and they don't sell single day passes. Is this normal? There isn't a single artist on the lineup besides our guy that I have any interest in...and I'm probably not the only person in this boat.

That's not a bad price and yes t's normal they don't sell single day passes, most festivals don't. If my knowledge is correct Coachella, Bonnaroo & Lolla don't sell single day passes.

I've only been to two festivals and neither were of the mass-proportion that these are, but they both had single day passes. I mean, in reality it's the same price for four days at this festival that I would pay for a seat on the floor at a single McCartney concert. But maybe I'm better off waiting for a single McCartney concert instead of waiting out in the blistering heat with a bunch of bands I don't care about all day long to most likely have a crappy view of a shortened Paul concert.
