Let me preface this by saying, I have been a dedicated Paul fan for more years then I care to admit (since the sixties). However, I don't understand why Paul feels compelled to reissue records and selling merchandise etc. The man has more money then he  could ever spend. Why perpetuate the money making machine? It's not like anyone will forget him. He is one of the great composers of the 20th century and still going strong. It just feels like greed to me. If I am wrong I don't mind being told so, but please, in a nice way. Again I love Paul's music and his contribution to culture is unquestionable.

I'm not sure I really understand your question, why wouldn't Paul sell re-issues and merchandise? His fans want to buy those things, and selling his music and things related to his music is his profession.

If you mean that you think he is emphasizing this too much by, for example, constantly re-issuing the same albums over and over again or something like that, then I can see how someone could potentially feel that way. I personally don't think he overdoes it in this way, to me it seems comparable to his peers and about what I would expect.

The only way I would feel frustration would be if he re-released something like Band on the Run right now. Since that album has already been well represented in many ways, I wouldn't re-buy it and I'd wish he had re-released a different album (like say London Town) that hasn't been as well represented. But my frustration would only be about the specific choice of the album to re-release, not about re-releasing albums in general. If he's selling something I'm not interested in, I just wouldn't buy it and I might wish those resources had been used to release  something else instead. Just my opinion.

I was just speaking with a friend on this subject today. We both were wishing even more things were issued. For me, I’d like to see the concert in St. Petersburg Russia, the one with all of the jugglers and Magritte type costumes and the Cirque de Soleil type acrobats. That looked like such an amazing show and there was so much pre show etc. It looked like a lot of thought was put into the show.  Would also love to see   Oceans Kingdom with all of the beautiful costumes made by Stella. This would make another beautiful DVD.  Also, have wondered why such a limited number of Deluxe sets are made. It seems too many people seem to buy them up for scalping and then charge outrageous prices. If there were more sets available we could all get a chance to buy them. I would personally buy all of the deluxe sets I missed out on and I think others would too! Really really wish I could get that huge deluxe set with Red Rose Speedway, Wild Life and Wings 71-73 deluxe set!! Can’t find one!

I got that one when it came out. The only deluxe I don't have is Wings At The Speed of Sound, but I won the 2-disc version in a Beatles trivia contest!
