I got that email too. Never heard of them and not sure where they got my email from!
I think it's from purchasing Outside Lands tickets last year.
Ah thank you!
-
amazing....people are selling presale passwords to Candlestick show on ebay!
-
A friend tried today to get seats for 4 of us for Candlestick through the Amex presale and could never get 2 seats together, much less 4. It's been a real struggle, he says.

Yes, even VIP was hard to get for this concert (at least the lower two packages) makes me wonder if they've blocked off a lot of seats/areas on the main floor for big wigs and such so there wasn't as much put aside for the packages as there normally is.
-
I still haven't received an order confirmation that my ticket orders went through from yesterday's Amex presale. How long should it take, roughly?
-
Just realized it was delivered into my spam folder! So for those of you worrying about not receiving your tickets, be sure to check in there.
-
I was just now able to try and buy tickets from presale and it keeps saying now tickets are available

For LA at least, Amex had a lot of great seats, even if you didn't go for the preferred sale. So I wonder if they took up a lot of them. Plus Goldenvoice has their own presale going now *and* KLOS will have on Sunday before the general sale. parlance

Dear Boy:

It should have been instant. I had problem with my Amex tickets via email too, never saw the email confirmation. Not in my spam box, nowhere to be found. Only after calling Tickets.com it was resolved. It's a browser issue. They had to resend the email and told me to use Google Chrome. Which would have been good information up front after the purchase. Good luck, I eventually got my email confirmation via a Linux browser. Didn't have to try Chrome, so I still don't know if that would have worked. But if your having the same problem give it go.
-
Funny, I was told to avoid Chrome. parlance

If anybody still needs $250.00 Floor seats I just looked and there is at least one pair in Section D (center) row 38, right now. This is through the Goldenvoice presale; password OUTTHERE I already bought 2 tix via Amex preferred presale and got floor E, row 24. I am happy with those. Section D is more centered, but 14 rows further ahead makes up for it for me. It is interesting that the best seats are not always offered first. I checked this morning and the best $250 seats were in sections B and F, and then later, there were none available at all. Now, suddenly, there are these decent Section D seats up there. On another note, I used Chrome for my purchase and it worked fine.
-
I got 2 AmEx seats in section M yesterday, but I see the 'D' seats now. Rows 35, 37, 38 seem to be available. Thinking about hopping on them. But then what if better seats are available in the General Sale??

There was a second pre-sale today up here by Another Planet and a friend said it was really slim pickings in that as well. Will be interesting to see what happens on Monday with the general sale!

Lots of tickets are in the hands of scalpers. Forbes magazine has an online article saying: "The average price for Paul McCartney tickets in San Francisco is currently $892 on the secondary market. That price is 156.6% above the $347.60 average across the 16 scheduled stops on the Out There! tour." http://www.forbes.com/sites/jesselawrence/2014/05/01/candelstick-park-show-on-paul-mccartneys-out-there-tour-is-most-expensive-concert-this-summer/

KLOS presale is going NOW until Sunday night. Tickets are from $49.50 to $250.00. The password is OUTTHERE. I got my ticket going though there today.

Darn these scalpers! And you just know there will be some people that will pay these badly inflated prices even for nosebleed seats.
-
I wonder if some people are thinking SF might be Paul's last ever show. I doubt that's the case, but that could account for part of the premium on that show. Of course, since it's the last event at 'the Stick,' that could also play into the situation.

That's just a lot of hype. The key words there are "secondary market". The regular priced tickets aren't even sold out yet! :

Well there is still the general sale on Monday so it's not sold out quite yet, but I can't even pull up a single ticket at any price level for S.F. with the current pre-sale... Amex not sure since I don't have the password to look for that.

No one's saying the event is sold out, simply that scalpers grabbed up big hunks of the presale seats and are gouging for them. The Amex presale is just as bad -- my friend reported only single seats available -- no pairs of 2 together, much less any more than that -- and only crappy ones at that. My guess is that the scalpers overdid it and the "secondary market" prices may well come down after a while.
