Los Angeles / Phoenix / San Francsico - Pre-Sales

Thanks for the info about the AmEx presale! Here's hoping . . . It's a great idea to offer fans an early opportunity to buy tickets, but really really frustrating when there is no way to get in.

I accidentally bought 2 non transferable VIP tix in A4 that I'd rather not keep. If anyone knows how to transfer them, I might have some great tickets for sale!
How much did you pay for them?
they are gold hot seat vip package - $660 each.
They should be simple to transfer but I don't know how Only the tix that include soundcheck are not transferrable.

Well, maybe you can't use the "transfer" feature, but you should be able to sell the tickets (either printed or hard copy). They didn't check ID for hot seats before, only the ones that include soundcheck.

I have sold the Gold package before. Since I wanted the merchandise, I only sold the ticket. Where the merchandise will be sent can not be changed, so it will be sent to the person who purchased the ticket. So they can be sold. The two people would have to work out the details on the merchandise. I sold one of these before TM had the ticket transfer, but I called and said I lost my ticket, had it converted to email and emailed the ticket to the person. Since I was going to be at the concert myself, I also gave the buyer (from here) my phone number in case of problems.

Thanks! I did try the Transfer feature but it didn't work. Tickets are printable - I'm thinking they probably won't be checking IDs at the door... Hope so anyway.

Dodger Stadium link: http://losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com/la/ticketing/mccartney_concert.jsp
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH! This link saved me today! I got my VIP tix to Dodger Stadium and it is so worth it! I was feeling so depressed after getting error messages over and over for 1 1/2 hours at paul's website link.
-
How does it all work? So today was the first presale to Dodger Stadium in L.A. and the next one is AMEX on May 1st. So what differs from today's tickets and the Amex ones? Are they better/worse seats? I was able to get Silver VIP in section N, Row 2. If I had waited for the Amex sale (which funnily enough, I got an Amex card especially for), would I have gotten better or worse seats? I'm not complaining. I'm happy with what I got.
-
For the Amex presale, it depends on which Amex you have as to whether or not you have access to the preferred seating or not. So check the site fully so you know what to expect.
-
For the Amex Presale, how is it possible to check which card will allow you access for San Francisco (since the presale will not go live until Thursday?) I have the regular American Express and a Business - will these work? Looking at Fargo just as an example, it appears to allow any card member with no password http://inforumtix.com/events/

From Triplets Love Paul in the "Pre-Sale Questions" thread in Rock Show: "Hi, For those asking for assistance with American Express pre-sales: All American Express card members are eligible to participate in American Express card member pre-sales. The difference between purchasing tickets via American Express Seating and American Express Preferred Seating is as follows: American Express Seating (no password required): Locate the American Express card member pre-sale section on the purchase page of the event you wish to attend. Select the number of tickets and price (if applicable) you would like to buy. Search for tickets and follow payment instructions until purchase is confirmed. The only accepted method of payment is a valid American Express card. American Express Preferred Seating (password required): Locate the American Express preferred seating section on the purchase page of the event you wish to attend. Select the number of tickets and price (if applicable) you would like to buy. In the password box, enter the 10-digit customer service number or international promotional code on the back of your American Express card. Search for tickets and follow payment instructions until purchase is confirmed. The only accepted method of payment is a valid American Express card - gold or higher, platinum, etc. I hope this helps. Anita" So check that thread as well for info!

Thank you for that above info on the AmEx sales. I'm thinking about signing up for a card today.

I've never had my ID checked at door for those types of tickets.
