I so wish this problem of white writing turning black on a dark background as soon as I refresh the page was fixed. I can't stand white backgrounds. It hurts my eyes so much. Only the superhero setting goes when it screws up. Because I can pretty much read the black writing on the blue background. But it's very tiring. I beg you to do something.
I agree! I wish they'd have some darker backgrounds (that work) with light text.

Did you try choosing Darkly? It is black with white letters.
P.S. I donât understand why you keep talking about ârefreshing the page.â That shouldnât be necessary. -

Okay, I understand now. So what setting do you have it on now?
Iâve been staying with the white background and black letters since they are dark enough now for me to easily read. -

Iâve been staying with the white background and black letters since they are dark enough now for me to easily read.@NJR I'm in superhero mode. This allows me to have a dark background even though the writing has gone black. I can read but it's tiring. I have tried several white backgrounds but I can't stand any of them. It blows my eyes out.

I tried that one too. But I am back to white. I agree that it's too bright for the eyes.

If the white is too bright, canât you turn the brightness down on your device? -

What? On any iPad, cellphone or computer you can adjust the brightness and it stays at that brightness unless you change it!
You never said if you are using a white background - that is what Iâm using with black letters and the brightness is turned down to less than half, which is perfect. -

I have a degree of photophobia too ever since I had LASIX done on my eyes 14 years ago. It was worth it though! (Actually Iâve never liked a lot of light - my bedroom is pitch black when I sleep!)

You never said if you are using a white background - that is what Iâm using with black letters and the brightness is turned down to less than half, which is perfect.Yes, I am using a white page here. All of my other pages that I frequent, no matter the color, would be darker too if I turned down the brightness. Thus I'd have to change back.

@NJR That's one thing we have in common.
On the other hand, I have a very dim night light. It's just so I don't feel like I'm losing my sight. Because, if I don't have a little landmark with my eyes in the dark. I panic. I also have a very dark curtain. So the morning light doesn't blind me. -

Change back what to what? Iâm sorry, but you are very confusing to me at times. Itâs just the way you word things. Maybe my momâs dementia is wearing off on me!

@njr Not that important.
