ehem.... MPL, The Press, Security & some band members DO read this message board. 2. Yankeefan quit starting to many threads there are plenty of ppl that complain about macca here. many that do, do not even attend gigs n still bitch... makes me laugh. Some is constructive criticism, others disrespectful, I'm not sure why they're McCartney fans at all.. it's a drag reading the boards at times. Its not cool the constant slights & the eye rolling...... sad really... it would be nice if Paul DID change up the setlist,.. but where is the happy media? He does have so much material..... let it out macca let that music 'out there'...lols maybe he doesn't give a damn about the setlist? on another note--I'm not sticking up for Audi, cos he unfriended me on Facebook. I will say this about him tho ,...he is level headed & knowledgeable about Macca's music,... and gets psyched talking about his Wings and solo career... he is fond of the Fireman just like myself. he does macca covers,.. he cares about Paul..... I better stop there... Some i believe it's frustration of the fans.... others it's just plan rude n mean.... One thing tho, I personally don't like them given away seats in the first two rows... they could move us up that pay the bucks... and have the others sit behind us that they give free tix too...
-
I would like to see Paul bring someone on stage and help them fold their laundry.

Let me add this: Many old boardies will attest that I was the neutral, fence-rider here for a long, long time. Over twelve years, I maintained an optimism that -- one day -- fans, like myself, who have invested in Paul's solo albums, multiple concerts, would get a concert for us. Now that's its clear that this will never happen, I'm going to suspend that reserve and spend a good portion of 2014 venting. It'll subside eventually. But -- for now -- I'm entitled to complain. Consider it my "anger" stage in the 7 Steps To Grieving. So, you're just gonna have to tune me out for a few more months.
Wish there was an ignore option. I too am tired of your complaining about Paul. He doesn't read these boards, so you are just annoying those of us who do.
Listen... ...this is the sound me not caring what you think. Buh-bye.
Which is exactly the sound of Paul not caring what *you* think. Anyone who tells the whole board that we have to listen to them complain for a *few more months* deserves the comments against him. Why are we supposed to endure your complaints? Contribute something positive or constructive, or just dont say anything. I am not a fan who cant bear any criticism of Paul--its fine if it is constructive. But when you pretty much just want to complain to complain, it is a drag. The whole setlist complaining thing bores me. It has been said to death. Paul is not going to change his setlist for you, so deal with it.
-
Wanting Paul to play more songs from his solo years IS constructive. Wanting Paul to play our home town IS constructive. Wanting Paul to ROCK out instead of playing his lighter pop material IS constructive. If Paul doesn't care what any of us think, why put out product and expect us to buy it? If Paul could care less about our opinions, why tour and sell tickets to his performance?

Yea Harley ! Especially about the first 2 rows thing. This is my main complaint from the last few tours. As far as criticism, it amazes me that the ones that complain the most about set lists etc haven't been to a show in years....just sayin We don't need Ellen to introduce him at the beginning of the concert but it would be nice to go back to the "countdown " or the build up leading to him walking out, like the Richard Lester film leading to NOW like he did back in the 90"s & early 2000's. Those were incredible openings ! Unlike now, where he just casually walks out

I thought the countdown was the most dramatic entrance. Some folks haven't been to a show in years BECAUSE of the set list.

Because of the historical significance of Candlestick Park, I think it would be cool if Paul opened with Long Tall Sally tomorrow night, since it was the last song the Beatles played there in 1966.

Whether you want Ellen to introduce him or not my main point was to do something different. I liked those other things better than now also but once again why be repetitive and do the same thing. I "complain" and saw McCartney in Citifield and the following year in my hometown Charlotte NC. Since then, he has not been that close until this October when he comes to Greensboro which is still 90 miles from Charlotte NC

If the setlist thing bores you then ignore it, very simple. BTW - I don't know if you live in the US and follow sports but the criticism on this web site is mild compared what goes on these sites. Or check the Broadway show web site and read people savage actors for their performances. In other words, there is very little "criticism" here for the most part in comparison.

Personally I think it's fantastic that Paul's team gives seats in the first two rows to people who can't afford to pay those huge ticket prices. Even if you go into debt to pay those premiums, that's your decision. Many people can't afford those premiums and can't afford to go into debt. Why privilege someone who's already privileged. I think it's awesome that Paul's team makes someone's year by bringing them from the very back up to the very front.

Like others, I disagree. People here do all they can to buy tickets as soon as possible and pay big money and they don't get chance at the best available seats. I don't think that is fair and I have never sat that close.

Neither have I. But I have never won the lottery either. And I doubt Paul would want to see the same faces in show after show after show if uber fans were given the first shot at empty seats in the first or second row. It'd be pretty boring for him. Makes sense to me that his team gives it to people who can then feel like they won the lottery. I don't begrudge any of them that luck. And it's more fun for Paul to see new enthusiastic faces.

OK, but I tend to doubt Mr. McCartney recognizes the faces in the front row from show to show unless they are family members or his friends.

Disagree with that. I paid for soundcheck & 2nd row seats but I was ON THE AISLE behind the camera arms (those HAVE to go). I think ppl that got the bad seats should be moved up 1st...then the nosebleed ppl can have the aisle seats.

Same experience I had when I bought a sound check package on this tour. Others in my row were saying if those center seats were not filled, they were moving over. I knew they would be at the last minute and they were--with people from the nosebleeds. Let those people have my seat and me go to the center. I paid good money and couldn't even see Paul or the band or the stage except from the screens. I could see the concert better from the stupid camera on the camera arm.

One thing I'd like to see... A response from the audience that is worthwhile for a solo/Wings song. Too bad that'll never happen..

How have crowds reacted to 1985 and Listen To What The Man Said? I am curious.

The LA Times reviewer mentioned that Let Me Roll It got a HUGE response at Dodger Stadium.
