Tea Time?
-
I have been playing the guitar for over sixty years now largely because of you, John, and George. Within three years I was teaching guitar at a commercial studio.
Partial because of you and the use of the cello inElenor Rigby (I’am assuming at the suggestion of George Martin) I have taken up the cello in the last couple of years and am absolutely in love with it and I have heard that you enjoy this instrument too. My wife is a retired English and drama teacher, and I am a retired systems analyst.
You are familiar with the city I live in, i.e. Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as you have played here a few times since an initial concert in 1964. You may also have visited George Harrison at a home he owned in West Vancouver in the 1980’s. Our city is easily accessed from L.A. and even easier from Seattle.
I have a simple invitation for you. Should you come up this way I am inviting you for tea, or some other beverage, and a chat. Our condominium building is reasonably secure and you will be able to come and go without your privacy being disturbed.
Thank you for the joy you have made through your music. What else matters?

Re: Tea Time?
And now, things have changed. We are now assured of being here over Christmas as my wife fell and broke her arm last week and will be having surgery tomorrow. She has Parkinson’s disease and so is prone to falling. So we’ll be home for the holidays and I can further offer you, with your tea, some of my home made scones.
Happy Christmas (as the Brits like to say) and a Happy New Year.
