        http://uk.news.yahoo.com/beatles-secretary-good-ol-freda-breaks-silence-film-022415527.html

Texas (Reuters) - For Freda Kelly, secretary to the Beatles and head of the band's fan club, work sometimes involved trailing the Fab Four to the barber shop, sweeping their locks from the floor and mailing strands of hair to adoring female fans. Kelly, one of the Beatles' longest-serving employees, worked for the British band for more than a decade but had never shared her stories publicly until now. She breaks her silence in a new documentary, "Good Ol' Freda," which had its world premiere on Saturday on the second day of the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin.

Just saw the film last evening at closing night ceremonies at the documentary film festival here in Vancouver. It was a sold old crowd and judging by the applause at the end, it was a hit! I so enjoyed the movie. It's a very intimate and personal portrait of the Beatles inner circle and I highly recommend it. Get out and see it if you can. The film is making its rounds in film festivals everywhere and is well worth your time. I hope they release it on DVD as I would luv to own a copy. When I got home I checked out YouTube for anything on "Good Ol' Freda" and found 4 clips of a Q&A at a film festival where the producers and Freda Kelly appeared - good stuff! Don't leave before you watch all the credits at the end as there is a "surprise guest" at the end .

No, not Freda but one of the other secretaries? I have never heard that.

A woman named Pauline married Freddie. She wrote a biography on Freddie. Obviously it takes an apologist view to many of his actions, but it has some very interesting information. Alot of what was in Phillip Norman's last Lennon biography took bits from her book. Interestingly she had two kids from Freddie. As far as I know neither of them have ever tried to sell their status as "John Lennon's brother".

http://www.thewrap.com/the-beatles-unvarnished-by-good-ol-freda/ You will never see another documentary like this. Those who were there and speak on the record will not be with us for much longer. ?Good Ol? Freda? ? directed by Ryan White and written by Jessica Lawson and Ryan White and available beginning Friday on ITunes, on-demand and in select theaters ? is your last chance to step into that world.

I went to LA screening last night! The director and Freda were there, and Chris Carter, host of "Breakfast with the Beatles" did the Q&A.

I rented it through Amazon and watched it yesterday--loved it!! The part where they asked her if she'd ever gone out with any of them was priceless! First she says no, but then says she had stories to tell but she didn't want to curl anyone's hair! She wouldn't "kiss & tell!" The closest she came to anything like that was when she talked about a gf of hers 'dating' John and the girl didn't know John was married! (but she couldn't tell her)
