Alexander The Great
Hi, tsyganochka and everybody! Let`s say Paul The Great but Alexander "The Fool on The Hill"?
Smiling Alice:
Наконец-то русскую группу нашла.Hello people!!!!!!! With love from Khabarovsk
Привет!
GYPSYGIRL:
Alexander, I do not deserve the credit you've given me. I've got a little secret to share with you. I use a free online translator. All I have to do is choose translate from English to Russian, write what I wish to say in the box & then hit the translate button, copy & paste! I am able to speak a vew words in your language but not much more than Hello/Good Day, Goodbye and Thank You! Thank you very much for your help. I enjoy learning new things & meeting new people. Before I left Moscow (many years ago) to return home, the one souvenier that I was able to bring back is a lovely hand-carved wooden bear. Is there a special name for these hand-carved wooden objects? Even now, I am still impressed by the time it must have taken to get every detail down so perfectly.
Some call such an objects like "оберег" . I can interpret it into english like "object to safe", a sort of personal guard of man. Bear is a symbol of Russia, you know. Our ancient folks- ariy and slaviane believed they came on Earth from Big Bear constellar...
GYPSYGIRL:
Доброе утро Каждый! Сегодня - первый день Осени, и погода прекрасна!
I see you`ve made a progress in russian! So, I want to explain you some things; English is very good to inform, to exchange information. That`s why you achived great technical progress. But russian is different. Letters in russian Azbuka (not Alphabet) are not only to mean perfect sound, but each letter is a sort of pictogramme for meaning or image of a process. A- az, essential, I am in English. Б-боги (God), В- веди (to know, to understand). So, for example, Love, in russian transcription ЛЮБОВЬ, means; ЛЮ= ЛЮди (people) БО= богов (Gods) Bь= ведают (know, learn to know) This way, in russian understending the word "Love " means "People learn to know Gods".
GYPSYGIRL:
Is Halloween celebrated in Russia? I am very interested in learning of your different holidays & customs.
Few years before some people celebrated Halloween. But naw many people begin to celebrate Slavic holidays? not christian.
GYPSYGIRL:
Ok, points of the world it is! What is your weather like now? We are getting some chilly mornings & evenings, but some lovely afternoons. soon the leaves will start to change colors & will reach their peak in October.
Exactly like in Moscow region. We have much more warmer climate now than before.
GYPSYGIRL:
Hvala Alexander! And I am also honored to be your friend as well. Hope all is very well in your corner of the world.
Let`s say " points of the world". The Round World have no corners, I think. Agree?
GYPSYGIRL:
Привет Друзья I hope this finds everyone in good spirits. What is new in your corner of the world? I've had some computer issues last week, but now all is working great again.
Привет Цыганочка! It makes me honour to be your friend!
GYPSYGIRL:
Hello Alexander! To answer your question, the image is not of me, just an avatar. I chose GypsyGirl for 2 reasons. One is because it is my husband's special nickname for me. The other reason goes back to my childhood & has special meaning for me. I suppose one could say that I'm a gypsy at heart!
I think Gypsys Heart is freedom and music? is`nt it?
GYPSYGIRL:
No, I wasn't aware of this. I'm not a huge history buff but here & there find points of interest in many directions.
Are you a real gipsy or it is your image?
GYPSY in russian sounds like TSYGANG. There are rivers TSY and GANG in India in the mountains. TSYGANGs folk came from this place. DO you know?
GYPSYGIRL:
i enjoy Tchiacovsky's Nutcracker & Swan Lake. When I was 4, I danced the Sugar Plum Fairy in my ballet corps
Are you a dancer? What you do in your life?
GYPSYGIRL:
Alexander, thank you! You are very interesting & knowledgeable on a variety of subjects! May I be nosy & ask your age?
I am too young to be knowledgeable on a variety of subjects! I am only 53. But it`s a good age to go up to the hill and seat. I mean "THE FOOL ON THE HILL" Macca`s song and my idea about it.
I think , many many years before there was no Latin or Russian letters. But people need any method to inform each other about what they see. The best figure to make a picture was SUN. This way the letter O appeared. If you divide O in half parts, you have letters C and D (join this letters together and you will have the round SUN and diameter) Letter T is a sort of diagramm , where sun or light beam crosses line of horizont. Letter H shows, that sun shines to all directions -left and right, up and down. It`s really HOT, is not it. Imagine the word HOT as a picture, as a diagramme of the Sun. The same situation is and with russian letters.
What do you think about my idea with Latin and Russian letters? I mean my first post on this cite.
Tried to send you some photos but did not find a bottom "attach files"?
I am not sure you will have a whole lake of Cola, but perfectly a lake of Not bottled Spring Water in addition to your photos.
Hardly you will have a whole lake of Coca-Cola, but perfectly will have a whole lake of NOT bottled Spring water in addition to your photos.
