Another project I've been working on that infuses The Beatles' history in it is my movie-musical. I thought y'all would appreciate hearing about this because I sincerely love them
my film production insta: @thelensofeden
Here it is:
It’s about my grueling journey to mental health stability and how chasing the idea of fame will ruin you, entirely.
It’s set in the 1940s-90s with themes such as freedom, the American dream/ideal, war, poverty, gun violence, and the healthcare system.
I chose this time period for a reason — it shows how little our mindsets have changed in terms of mental illness. We still villainize mental illness despite knowing the fact that generational trauma and trauma is real — it’s eating our country alive.
I’ve also infused The Beatles history into my story, about John Lennon’s story to his eventual death. There’s also a scene about gun violence in schools — where a gunman enters the building when the main character has finally made peace with her healing journey.
The story is told through the lens of a patient reliving her trauma until she gets to the end. **
The ending is a rude awakening for America, that we cannot continue to make the same choices in regard to healthcare, gun violence, and our freedoms. Our country is dying slowly, I see it, and it needs to change.**
I'm also currently working on the book to go along with the movie-musical. I’m super excited for this to become a reality!!!
My idea is to have a QR code when you get to the end of the movie that gives you free access to a PDF of my truth and other mental health facts about my story.
This would go along with the soundtrack and some other special surprises. I have the idea of aligning the merch for the movie with the time period it’s set in.
The music would be on 8-tracks & the movie would be two separate VCRs that are green. I love this idea!!! Like if you agree and would love to see this become a reality I really love creativity and would love to see this become a reality.
with love,
ATALAYA
