You get a completely different audience at his regular shows. The majority of the people there are baby boomers who are not necessarily fans, but they are just occasional beatle fans who just want to use that as an excuse to have a night out. Up front you get corprorate older people who take up all the good seats and they sit down during helter skelter and yell at people in front of them to sit down ....... then you get the older ladies who want to be there just for the nostalgia of the 60's and they just want to feel young again...... To me that has nothing to do with Macca and Macca being relevant in today's music. WTF ! The majority are baby boomers that aren't fans ?? First what's wrong with being a baby boomer? You probably think we are to old to go to concerts, god forbid someone sits down..And yea I'm one of those "older ladies" that goes to Macca concerts,It has nothing to do with wanting to feel young again. It has to do with being with Paul from every phase of his career & his life & always will. I go there to spend 3 hours with the man & his music,Sorry I take up the good seats for you... My 3rd row seats were great, except for the 2 in front of me- they won their tickets- in their 20's & spent the entire concert taking pictures of themselves at the show ! That was more important to them. You are so wrong with your remarks Thank You Bob Gannon for your words of wisdom, as always !

NO PHOTOS of this show except 5 or 6 newspaper-type ones. Didn't anyone take a nice big Flick'r page full of them? How sad! All Paul's other "Out There" shows had 50-100 photos from loving fans. Its a shame the Canadians didn't feel that way about him too!
Huh??? What does not coming to this site to show you their flickr pictures have to do with how Canadians feel about Paul??? Regina is a small town, probably not a lot of people who come to this forum. Sorry that everyone who sold out this show didn't rush on here to share their pictures with you. Sorry, but as a Canadian, that post rubbed me the wrong way.
I was surprised at first about the posts...or non posts. but I have seen posts on FB about it,so it looks like Paul's fans from the area are just not on here. Not that Canadians don't feel the same way about Paul... As a 1/2 Canadian , I felt those comments were wrong too.

Hi, Folks: Me and my family traveled from Minnesota to last night's Winnipeg show. We were 7th row on an impeccable night at the new (and beautiful) Investor's Group Field. I can report that Eleanor Rigby Was played, .and Yesterday was played without string accompaniment. Also, Magical Mystery Tour was NOT played. The highlight was Mull of Kintyre with the Winnipeg Police Pipe Band. Many in the crowd had tears in their eyes once those bagpipes started playing. I have footage currently being uploaded to YouTube...and will poast the links here shortly. Overall, the crowd was into the show...but, expectedly, much more low key than when we saw Macca at Bonnaroo in June....However, the show,Paul and Band were white hot the entire 3 hours!
Thanks for the info ! My dream is to one day see "Mull ' live !

Love the pics! Is that definitely 1968 though? What is the occasion? .
and why did he have his dog with him at an event like that? (though Martha looks like she's having a good time)
Paul recording the orchestra part for Martha My Dear!
Paul is helping with the recording of "Thingumybob" that he wrote for The Black Dyke Mills Band.

RE: Times you've been disappointed in Paul?
DrBeatle:
Yes, and that was my point. Although Yoko took up with a new guy 2 MONTHS after John was murdered (so much for the great "love story" myth she's peddled ever since) so I guess I should give Paul a bit of slack on this.
Was it even 2 months ? I think she moved him in after 2 months. I've never believed that "great love story" of John & Yoko. Now Paul & Linda, I believe

I don't think George was ever in a good mood, when it came to The Beatles. I sometimes feel sad when I see Paul play "Something" & "Here Today" for John, and I think if things were different and they were on tour, would they be doing a song for Paul?? I'm pretty sure the answer would be no...Sad.
I never thought of that, I am pretty sure you are right, sad. Paul seems like the kind of guy to forgive and move on, for the most part. People like John, George, Yoko even Ringo have spoken badly about Paul publicly and Paul rarely has, if not at all. One of the reasons I love him (Life is too short for fussing and fighting my friend... )
Life is too short for fussing and fighting my friend... I think you are correct. Paul is that kind of person. Lots of Beatles fans are that way, too. I am. I'm sure you are that way

And what about this one : ''Girls'' t shirt http://paulmccartney.shop.bravadousa.com/Product.aspx?cp=16558_34706&pc=BGCTPM113 I don't understand the difference between : Girls, JR. and Ladies...
They had this in Indy, I got so excited when I saw it. My husband thought I had really lost it now....getting all thrilled over a bearded Paul shirt... They told me it was a junior t shirt, very fitted, the xlarge I was shown was not x large at all. I usually buy a large,I like some room, but this was way to small for me They need to make this in a regular fit

RE: McCartney Concert Voice
beatcomber:
I saw him in Ottawa this month and thought he sounded great. When I say "great" I recognize that he is 71 and don't expect him to have the same voice he had in 1976. However, considering he puts on a 3 hour show where he carries all the lead vocals, in addition to the show he puts on for the "soundcheckers" I think he sounds really good. Another factor in my favour was that he had a bit of a break right before this concert so I'm sure that the rest did his voice some good. I recognize that the other guys are singing some pretty strong harmonies at times and there is the odd time when Wix plays a note to overlap the vocal (like at the end of My Love on the 2010 tour) but in my opinion that is just playing it smart and recognizing the realities of one's current limitations. Put simply, his voice isn't what it used to be but it doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the music or the show.
Just one comment: The excitement of Long Tall Sally was not because it was different from the setlist! It was because it's one of Paul's most rocking and famous songs of all time.

RE: Times you've been disappointed in Paul?
I agree! What Paul must have been going thru, having to put up with their remarks.& Just when you think everything is cool with Ringo,Ringo will make some stupid remark. I laugh sometimes, when I read fan comments about George... they always say, sweet George...George was so sweet...George...sweet?? They obviously have never read his comments about Paul ! Who was worse when it came to Paul? John or George ? It's a toss up for me. I really hope they did patch things up tho.
