RE: Boston, MA - Fenway Park - July 9, 2013 - ARCHIVE
Ok! I'm back! Got home at around 1:30 am! I have to say, Paul's voice has never sounded better! Maybe that's why he didn't do two nights in a row in Boston this time! (Last time I went to the second night and his voice was pretty tired.) Seriously, he has never sounded better. I don't know what that man is doing, but he's doing it right. At one point in the show he jumped up and down in the same spot for a good 30 seconds... no jet lag I guess! His plane was delayed and the soundcheck was delayed. I was up in the soundcheck group and we all started to wonder if something was up when it was 4:00 and we still had no word. But, finally we went down and had a great soundcheck! Full length, not abbreviated in any way. Show started later than expected, I heard the lines to get in were HUGE and they didn't let people in until around 6:30? Show was UNBELIEVABLE. Like I said, he has never sounded better in the 5 concerts that I've seen him. I got on the big screen a bunch of times, wish I had a photo or video of me being projected behind Paul!
! He threw in a few "new to Boston" songs like Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite and Another Day. I don't take notes during the show so I'm sure someone else can sum it up better, but this rates at the top of my Paul concert experiences. Being in the third row helped as well!
I'll post some pictures shortly... But I heard lots of concert people saying it was the best show they've ever been to, and everyone I saw in the masses left smiling.

I'll be in the third row center, anyone have any ideas of signs that I should make? I've never brought a sign before and I only want to hold it up at a key moment so I won't bother the people behind me. I'm also going to soundcheck. Any requests?
I saw the Ram On request...
That's where I'm sitting too! I'll be happy to help you hold up your sign
SWEET!

I know, I'm terrified of the weather being lousy!
What happens if a storm rolls through, we all take shelter in the halls?! ha

RE: URGENT! EBAY DEALERS FOLLOWING PAUL ON U.S. TOUR!
billyshears:
I got a chance to meet Ringo (briefly) back stage at DTE music theater in the Detroit area back in 97 (show was released as an official VHS). We were told not to approach him, but i figured, hey, how many chances am i going to get to meet a Beatle? so i went up to him & asked for an autograph! he politely declined. i wasnt mad, i figured he wouldnt sign them due to Lennon doing just that & getting killed. i know if my best friend died dong something, i wouldnt do it anymore either. didnt realize he wont do it because of dealers.
That is such a good point, never really thought of it that way before.
...and I agree it's more about being up close and personal when getting the autograph, and then having that as a souvenir of the occasion.

Also, has anyone gotten any info about the silver and gold packages/soundcheck? I'm still waiting on that also. So exciting! I hope I sit next to some cool people in row 3 center!
Soundcheck info gets e-mailed out about 1 week before the concert date.
Thanks!

RE: Paul's most powerful lyrics thread
Kathryn O:
The End of the End took my breath away and made me stop what I was doing to listen to it the first time I heard it. "On the day that I die I'd like bells to be rung And songs to be sung..." and then how he talked in one verse about blankets that lovers had lain on and in another verse about blankets that children have played on.
I can't listen to that song, I don't want to think about Paul's death!
