Hi, I usually post in 'what's that you're doing' part of the forum but this is in support of the very worthy Meat Free Monday campaign.. My little contribution..a drawing I've done. Kevin.
Nice drawing, Kevin! Thanks for sharing it.
Empathy is the capacity to, through consciousness rather than physically, share the sadness or happiness of another sentient being.

As an avatar....as a shirt....it's great any way you look at it! Enjoy it in good health, Tom!

I have a feeling neither of us will soon forget that day. Dara made a great concert, something special! We are all so happy for her!!
That's really sweet, thank you! Yes, we'll be smiling for a good long time, remembering even the smallest details!!!
DrivinFan:
Thanks, everyone! Paul sure knows how to make a great day very special!
He sure does! Congratulations to both you and your son!!!
There's a whole lot to be thankful for...if you take the time to look.
I met Mike on the board about two years ago. Even in that short time, he truly touched my heart. Mike had such a fantastic sense of humor while at the same time deeply caring for so many others. Though he is dearly missed now, look at the gifts he has left to us all......love, sharing, caring, finding humor in everything, and celebrating life. I bet he's looking down right now with a big smile on his face.
It was indeed an incredible evening as everyone has already described. We were blessed to have gotten front row seats....an act of God, no doubt! It was really interesting that the concert included so many different people who might otherwise have little in common. Also, a friend was sitting a few rows away and mentioned that Michael J Fox was sitting in front of her with his family. We, too, were told that the "Change Begins Within" poster sold at RCMH was signed by Paul. They actually pointed that fact out to my daughter when they saw her, so of course she wanted the poster. I told them it seemed unbelievable that they would sell a poster signed by Paul for just $100, and they said that Paul did it just for the benefit. I even made them check with someone else and they came over and assured me it was "definitely signed by Paul McCartney." We will keep the poster anyway...it's a nice one. We have #40 of 600. Of course, the signature is not Paul's, but my daughter said, " Well maybe it is. After all he had 600 to sign. I would probably just scribble too if I had 600 to sign!" The only thing is, when we got home and took the poster out of the cardboard tube, it reeked of a chemical smell. Did anyone else have this?

Laura Dawn is the link between the Change Begins Within and the Obama "Change" slogans - she acted as creative director for Move On influential in the Obama election campaign, and having seen that through to his election, moved on to support David Lynch with this campaign and composed the Change Begins Within slogan. You can see her interviewed in the www.dlf.tv stream replay 4.00 min into Part 2, where these links are explained. Whilst viewing that - slide the player along to the close, at 14.50 min you get to see the 3 minute black and white film footage of The Beatles in India which the web-cast host said was to be used to introduce Paul onto the stage at the DLF concert. Perhaps somebody can confirm the footage was actually used Saturday Night? Martin
Yup, thats the footage they used to introduce Paul! Saw it with my own two eyes
Saw it with my eyes as well! The program, which is actually quite nice, includes a pic of Paul in India from 1968.....
