At Seattle soundcheck this week, 5/3/22 -- believe it or not, he played Big Barn Bed on the Ukelele after Ram On during soundcheck. I was astounded, as I haven't heard of him playing it live since the 70s.

RE: Pick Any 3 Songs for One on One Setlist
1. Bring back HERE THERE & EVERYWHERE in the first piano part in the set. Paul must've thought it didn't sound great in rehearsals or something, I can't think of any other reason why he removed it. It's a Beatles hit that everyone loves, and I think Paul does a beautiful job singing it in a different style than what he used to do. 2. Add in SMILE AWAY. This is something I'm confident McCartney could sing even at 75. Most of the song is in his lower register of voice, and he would get the back up by the Abe. I could hear this song either second, replacing Save Us/Juniors Farm , or in the encore replacing Hi Hi Hi. 3. Remove Eleanor Rigby (it's getting harder and harder for him to sing), and replace it with PUT IT THERE. Picking only three was very tough, and I already know my mind will change right after I post this so some other songs I was considering were: Got To Get You Into My Life, Flaming Pie, Getting Better, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, You Never Give Me Your Money, She's a Woman, Man We Was Lonely, Teddy Boy, Junk, London Town, and Sally G ð???

RE: Tinley Park Il Hollywood Casino Amph.-7-25-26-2017-CONFIRMED
Hey guys, my friend and I were on stage singing with Paul tonight. I was wondering if anyone on here took any pics of us up there. Pretty surreal experience. I thought Paul sounded brilliant today, but I will always say that when I see him. Anyways, please let me know if you have any pictures, there was no filming/taking pictures allowed when we got backstage. Thanks in advance!

RE: 2017 Soundcheck Setlists
How does one go about filming the soundcheck? After being to a couple, I'm well aware that they make it clear not to film/record the soundcheck, yet there are videos on YouTube. How does one do it?

RE: 2017 Setlist Speculation Thread
I'm sure nobody cares, but after putting some thought into the setlist he's been doing, I feel like this wouldn't be asking for too much, and it would satisfy our needs as diehard fans, as well as the casual Beatles fan. Got To Get You Into My Life Letting Go I Want To Hold Your Hand Jet Flaming Pie Getting Better Let Me Roll It I've Got a Feeling My Valentine Nineteen Hundred Eighty Five Here There and Everywhere Maybe I'm Amazed Things We Said Today Put It There In Spite of All The Danger You Won't See Me Love Me Do Blackbird Little Willow Lady Madonna Queenie Eye Maxwell's Silver Hammer Lovely Rita Penny Lane I Saw Her Standing There Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite Ram On Something OblaDi OblaDa Band On The Run Let It Be Live and Let Die Hey Jude Yesterday Sgt. Pepper Reprise A Day In the Life/Give Peace a Chance She's a Woman Goodnight Tonight Golden Slumbers Carry That Weight The End

RE: Miami, FL - American Airlines Arena - 7/7/17 - RESCHEDULED
Speaking of that, do we know when he's going to release the album? Apparently with my ticket I bought for Chicago I get a copy of it....?

RE: Miami, FL - American Airlines Arena - 7/7/17 - RESCHEDULED
I agree with you as well. To be fair, this is still the "One on One" show. So I'm sure he's going under the assumption that he's still playing to brand new audiences, and new cities. It would really be a drag to see the same 38-39 song set with his next tour...

RE: Miami, FL - American Airlines Arena - 7/7/17 - RESCHEDULED
After looking at the setlist, I too was a little let down, but at the same time I totally get it. Like others have said on here before, I'm still thrilled to see him for the 5th time coming up. We have to also keep in mind that his life doesn't revolve around us (a very small percentage of the people who are actually at the show). His life doesn't revolve around adding some of his greatest deep tracks. I'm sure he doesnt spend his time thinking about what songs from 20-30 years ago he could add that only 5% of the audience will love. In fact, I could probably bet that he doesn't remember half of the songs that we mention on here that we want. The man is constantly writing new music all of the time. Think how many songs he has written, and then rehearsed at the time, and then recorded for the album. I even read in an interview that Hard Days Night was brought up to him recently before the One on One tour, and he had practically forgotten that one. Basically what I'm trying to say is that Paul has an amazing catalogue of music, SO many songs. Sometimes the songs we want to hear wont work out great in the live setting as well to keep in mind...

RE: 2017 Soundcheck Setlists
That is an awesome sound check set list. I'm seeing him in Chicago in a couple weeks, and honestly I'm more excited for the soundcheck than the actual performance. I rate Alligator highly, Flaming Pie as well.

Well, at least we get SOMETHING new, different order haha

RE: Miami, FL - American Airlines Arena - 7/7/17 - RESCHEDULED
Very interesting top 4.... 1. Hard Days Night 2. Can't Buy Me Love 3. Letting Go 4. Temporary Secretary????

RE: Miami, FL - American Airlines Arena - 7/7/17 - RESCHEDULED
My realistic guess would be 1. Mary Had A Little Lamb 2. Little Lamb Dragonfly 3. Keep Under Cover

RE: McCartney promising a "refreshed" version of 2016'
No I totally agree, I would LOVE to hear the actual full song. I think he could still pull it off. Realistically, I feel like he'll play the Reprise though.
-
RE: McCartney promising a "refreshed" version of 2016'
Yeah, my guess is that it'll be the Reprise that he included in Tokyo.... Maybe the other 'surpise" is I Wanna Be Your Man that he also played in Tokyo/Desert Trip?

RE: Fantasy McCartney Concert
If I heard Paul play this setlist live I would 100% go into deep shock and live in a coma the rest of my life. Venus and Mars/Rockshow/Jet Big Barn Bed Smile Away Got To Get You Into My Life Flaming Pie Day Tripper Let Me Roll It/Foxy Lady I've Got a Feeling Getting Better She's Leaving Home You Gave Me the Answer Warm And Beautiful Monkberry Moon Delight Here There and Everywhere English Tea Maybe I'm Amazed The Other Me Friends To Go For You Blue (Tribute to George) Rocky Racoon Bluebird Heart of the Country Alligator Put It There Backwards Traveller She's a Woman Give Ireland Back To The Irish I'm Only Sleeping Silly Love Songs Letting Go When I'm 64 Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey Lovely Rita A Day In The Life/Give Peace a Chance (Tribute to John) Maxwell's Silver Hammer Lady Madonna Beautiful Night Hey Jude Mull of Kintyre Arrow Through Me Golden Slumbers Carry That Weight The End Let me know what you think! RE: 2017 Setlist Speculation Thread
So as we probably all saw today, Macca did an interview with Rolling Stone and said that there are three surprises, and one of them he said was including "Sgt Pepper's". Do you think it'll still be the Reprise that he played in Tokyo, or do you think he worked up the actual song with the band? He played it for the GRAMMY Salute back in 2014, and I thought he pulled it off quite nicely. I think we can all agree there are certain songs that Macca needs to pull out of the setlist. However, I can see his reasoning. The average person going to his concert aren't the die hard fans we are. Usually it's the classic Mom and Dad who are Beatles fans who want to hear those hits such as Eleanor Rigby, And I Love Her, Let It Be, Hey Jude, etc. What would be cool is if Macca announced a show or a tour of himself performing material that he genuinely wants to play. I have a feeling that he's playing these Beatles hits mainly because the majority of the fans are only Beatles fans. I would absolutely love to hear Paul add in some of his tremendous solo work from a wide range of his albums such as hits from Pipes of Peace, maybe something like Put it There, or Distractions from Flowers in the Dirt, or maybe including some more material from RAM. I could go on forever.... but it would be nice to hear something different, rather than those Beatles hits he's been playing since the 89/90 tour.

RE: 2017 Setlist Speculation Thread
Just thought of another awesome idea Paul should totally do: When he's up on his riser playing Blackbird, and Here Today, he should really include Little Willow. I feel like that's something the serious fans would enjoy, and perhaps he would as well. I agree with a lot of people on this discussion; about how he seems to skim over his middle aged material. Maybe it's because of Linda?

RE: 2017 Setlist Speculation Thread
Thanks for sharing. As I already said, that song had to be my favorite of the evening I saw him play that. The way he plays it now very much suits his voice without it sounding awkward, and makes it feel personal. Let's hope he adds it back for his upcoming run of US shows. (Hoping that he'll add some dates to the west coast.)

RE: 2017 Setlist Speculation Thread
I'm really curious to know why Paul dropped Here There and Everywhere from the set. Anybody know why? (Besides saying that he can't sing it anymore). It was personally my favorite when I saw him play it in Seattle last year. He plays it way differently than he used to, now on the piano, with the song being sung a step down, gives the song a totally different feel, but sounds so beautiful. Paul also said in various interviews recently that Here There and Everywhere is currently his favorite song he wrote with that one band he played with throughout the 60's.
