I've heard the album and like it a lot. His voice is what it is at this point and that is okay. My favorites are When Winter Comes, Seize the Day, Slidin, Find My Way, and Kiss of Venus. Sone of the stuff veers into experimental Fireman territory so tastes may vary. Its raw and very much a petsonal statement. Kind of a mix between the first 2 albums. Not a major statement but a very nice side peoject. I think you will like it.

RE: Has 'New' album reached Platinum sales yet?
Interesting comments. At this point I am more concerned with him putting out quality music as he has already sold millions and millions of albums. And he certainly has done that! I bought Electric Arguments for a Beatle loving friend of mine for her birthday and she was shocked at how good it was. People just aren't hearing his recent stuff.

Reading one of these posts makes me wonder why he NEVER plays Take it Away. Surely one of his 10 best solo songs and one most people know.

RE: Chaos and Creation in the Backyard - 10 years ago today
This is my favorite Paul solo album. Like none of his other albums. Dark and introspective and mature, with complex melodies. Fine Line, Friends To Go, Too Much Rain, Promise to You Girl, Anyway. I was shocked at its quality when it came out. Not that I didn't expect quality from Paul but this was near Beatle quality IMO.
