I forgot!!! Are you going to share with us your photo with Rusty?
I'd love to share the photos...but they are on my friends camera and I won't get copies till she gets back to Madrid. I forgot to take mine in my rush to get there!!! Can you believe that?? I promise though, I will share them as soon as I get them! Oh! I forgot to mention, in the short interview preceding his set Rusty was asked about touring with Paul again and he mentioned that a US tour is planned for early next year...so all you fans in the US, great news for you!! I hope Paul brings the tour back home to England too....fingers crossed!
I was at the Beatles Convention at the Adelphi in Liverpool yesterday and imagine my delight when I found out that Rusty would be putting in a surprise appearance on the main stage. There was a short interview followed by an excellent acoustic set from his album (which I must confess I hadn't heard before....but was so impressed with his set, I bought the album right there at the convention). After the set Rusty came to the "VIP" room and signed autographs. I got my new album signed and posed with him for a photo and got two kisses from him too (alas on the cheek) He is just such a nice and utterly pleasant guy.
I had met him at his hotel in Madrid this summer the night before Paul's concert, along with the rest of the band and they were all very nice and friendly, but it was nice to see Rusty as an accomplished artist in his own right stepping out from under Paul's shadow....and in Liverpool too, that most famous of Beatley places
