I think Villareal is the team that's doing thing best in the last years. Always in a way up, and brave enough to put Riquelme away.
Villarreal has been the team with the best quality of play in the past two-three years. Or, at least, the one that has play decently, regularly. Barcelona was increidible two years ago, but there is nothing left. Real Madrid is...Real Madrid For Villarreal to be about to finish second, a record for this team, the year after selling Forlan and Riquelme is just crazy. To be honest, I did not put my team higher than in the top 6. Even less with Guille Franco upfront lol

Do you think they don't want him because of that penalty he missed against Arsenal? He's a great talent and does wonders with Boca and Argentina. Maybe he's just one of those who have a tough time adapting to foreign soil. Villarreal are rumored to be getting Edmilson and Llorente (Valladolid) for next season.
If I have a minute before getting out of the office, I will explain to you guys the reason why Riquelme went from being an idol to being kicked out. Llorente, possibly; Edmilson, I hope not. They are also thinking about Jozy Altidore, which would be just awesome, as I am an MLS fan as well.
