£125 a ticket eh Paul? Unless you want to sit on the roof. I got into the page to buy tickets took one look at the prices and closed the page in disgust. Enjoy playing to the rich, Paul. Nice way to treat tour fans, Greedy old man.

RE: Halifax, NS - Halifax Common - 11th July 2009 - ARCHIVE
Dear Boy:
I'm perfectly fine with keeping those additions... It's more "Back in the USSR," "I've Got a Feeling," and "Flaming Pie" (and similar songs he always reprises) that I find somewhat more expendable.
Yeah what is it with Back in the USSR?!! It's a f*cking AWFUL song! And he's been playing it since 1989! WHY?! Same for Flaming Pie. Of all the songs on the album Flaming Pie, the song has got to be the weakest. What about Beautiful Night or The World Tonight? s for A Day In The Life/Give Peace A Chance - that is a terrible pairing from the outset. I'm glad he's doing the Fireman songs though - I'm a big fan of Sing The Changes. He's either become deluded in his old age or someone is giving him very bad advice.

Dear Boy:
I wonder if Paul's officially retired "Maybe I'm Amazed" in favor of "My Love" for his Linda tribute. I guess "Calico Skies" also counts, too.
He can't nail Maybe I'm Amazed anymore so maybe he has taken it out of the set. To be honest, it was starting to get a bit hard to listen to.

So basically the same set he has been doing for the last few years.

Dear Boy:
On Youtube, I see videos for: Live and Let Die Hey Jude Paperback Writer Drive My Car Mull of Kintyre Blackbird Back in the USSR Band on the Run In addition to that, we know he did Calico Skies and Day Tripper (!). So that leaves 26 songs unaccounted for...
I bet I can have a good guess what those 26 songs were..

. Day Tripper was one of the encores, which I have not heard him play before.
Really, he actually did "Day Tripper"?!!! Finally something new!
Daveyboy:
I wish he'd stop wearing those bloody braces too. He looks like a member of Chas and Dave.
I like the braces, much better look for him than the baggy jeans and t-shirt look from the last couple of tours!
Day Tripper? Why?!! For f*cks sake another devastatingly average song. What about all those epic songs he did with Wings or during his solo years. I tell you what if he does come to the UK I'll have to seriously consider whether I buy a ticket or not.

I cannot believe this man is still playing the same tired songs and ignoring fans. I;m beginning to think he's being a little arrogant.
If anything, it's probably more due to insecurity than arrogance. But trying to psychologically analyze his setlists is a pretty futile exercise.
It's just boring. He opened the 1993 tour with Drive My Car - out of the hundreds and hundreds of songs he's written you'd think he'd find something else. His band must be getting very bored with it all. I know as a musician I would.
Yeah, of all the songs he trots out for every tour, Drive My Car is among the most mysterious to me. It wasn't a smash hit (wasn't even a single) or anything... I guess he really enjoys performing it?
I guess so - god knows why though. It's a very average song. I wish he'd stop wearing those bloody braces too. He looks like a member of Chas and Dave.
