Hello David, On the one hand, you say that anything PM does won't make a difference to the fanatics and on the other hand you're asking him to give in to blackmail and cancel the tour....which PM will not do.\ (nor should he). I wish I had a dollar for every artist who was threatened with reprisals if they ever set foot in Israel - among them: Michael Jackson, Madonna and U2 (ok, that's 3 dollars...lol), and yet they did not give in to the criminals and came anyway - and delighted tens of thousands of fans with stunning shows, why should Sir Paul be any different? If anything, he should be even MORE defiant precisely BECAUSE he is a man of peace and a great humanitarian. We cannot give in to a handful of fanatics who presume to rule over us from some cave in Afghanistan or some bunker in Lebanon or whatever wormholes they live in. We are all free people and our lives are our own. Therefore, it's safe to say that the Israeli concert is a done deal and I can't wait to read Sir Paul's own words of his Israeli experience. I have no doubt that you'll come to realize that your fears were unfounded.

Hello Sir Paul, and hello to everyone on this forum, As an Israeli fan, may I just say how honored I am (and I'm sure I speak for the close to 40,000 people who have bought tickets....) that Sir Paul has decided to add Israel to his list of countries on tour. I have been a fan of the Beatles since my childhood in the 60's and for me, and many thousands more, this concert will be the thrill of a lifetime. Personally, I can't wait to stand there on the grass at Hayarkon Park and rock out to "Back in the USSR" or put my arms around my loved one during "My love" or sway and shout with 40,000 other fans during "Hey Jude". What an AMAZING experience is waiting for us!! You should know that Sir Paul has become a hero to us Israeli fans for his fierce stand against blackmail and the attempts by fanatics to disuade him from performing here. Apparently the fanatics think that Sir Paul is as cowardly as they are - how wrong they are! I have read your messages and I completely understand your concern for Sir Paul's safety while he's here. I'm assuming that most of you have only heard about Israel through the negative news coverage and the usual bad press that we receive. However, let me assure you and put your minds at rest.....I won't go into details (for obvious reasons) but I can assure you that you will be astounded at the outpouring of love and respect that Sir Paul will receive at the hands of the Israeli fans. The venue will be well protected (again, no details)....and let's just say that Fort Knox will be a lot LESS protected than Sir Paul...lol. In short, Sir Paul will be greeted by hoards of fans and an adoring public who have been waiting 40 years(!!) to see this legend on stage and, on behalf of the Israeli fans, I can assure you that we'll take very good care of him. At the end of the day, we're all here to have a good time and in the end we will all be treated to a historic evening of some of the greatest music ever written by one of the greatest singer/songwriters in musical history - and that's all that matters. I'll be sure to write an account of the concert on Friday (if I've recovered from the shock.....lol) so you can all enjoy. To Sir Paul - BARUCH HABAH (welcome) and to all of you Shalom and peace from the beautiful state of Israel. XXX Elaine
