Back to the roots!
In between all these Simon & Garfunkel songs, here's a Beatles song for you!

now this is crisis... yes, crisis what crisis? sure... no real new pics of the SbB girls either, that's depression
Crisis? I didn't look at your "too big to fail" photo...I have a pretty good idea what it portrayed

Would you please vote for The White Album from The Beatles on the website of this radio show? http://dejavu.kro.nl/eregalerij.aspx
I'm too late
The White Album squeaked onto the list for another week. The voting will start again tomorrow so don't forget!

And here it is the international, experimental, online duet. Eve and Oliver-Bridge Over Troubled Water www.oliversanz.com/BridgeEveOliver.mp3 It's the first time I've done this... I felt special when I heard Eve vocals after mine. We did it on G, 2 notes higher than the original. I thought this song would sound especially well with Eve singing. And I think it's a good key. We both have had colds and sore throats, just like Ringo... there seem to be a world epidemia of that... well...
Man I hate low notes!
2 notes higher and I'm still struggling. Imagine if had to sing this in the key Art sings it in.

Ah! So it WAS a bit challenging....well, the result is beautiful!

Cool indeed! Especially with such different voices...very nice!
21st Century Paul:
what I could tell will be in a short way... -Ringo and Paul speaking as half of the Beatles in the conference today
Is it on the net somewhere? I'll have to check. There will be some live backstage video tomorrow.
-Me in the karaoke doing Born to be Wild and Heartbreak Hotel
I bet you do a great Elvis!
-Or finding in the Hard Rock Cafe of Barcelona the original 1976 contract of Queen with Elektra Records
, not a photocopy, signed by the 4 members. -Or another rock and roll relic. A pic of Bob Geldof in the arms of Pete Thownsend and Paul McCartney just after Paul sings Let it Be in Live Aid and before all doing Feed The World.. autographed by the 3 of them.
Cool stuff! I remember Paul and Pete hoisting Geldof to their shoulders.
-And Evie and me having now different plans for the recordings...
I can't wait to hear what you two cook up!

And here it is....I re-did this like 50 times before I was finally satisfied. And it's still not without its flaws...but I like it!
Can't do better on the guitar part...I just don't have the right guitar.

brilliant, absolutely great!
I'll add my WOW! to this sentiment. Excellent job Eve!

-Karaoke 2nd night yesterday
. Hey some people are very good singers in places like that
.
Doesn't surprise me, I know quite a few very good singers who aren't 'pros'. I haven't been to many karaoke places but I noticed that the very good people are balanced out by the ones who 'think' they can sing....or are too drunk to know better Looks like you had a great time and the crowd loved it too! One karaoke bar I visited had a singer they paid to keep things rolling or to sing duets with if you wanted. He was okay, but sort of 'lounge lizardish'

So you should understand perfectly! Now if it were Samoan or something....

It took me quite a while (and lots of video watching and listening closely to every bootleg version I could find) to figure them out, ...
A brutal and thankless job but someoen had to do it
I could probably only watch this video for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy.

Almost seems humanly impossible for them to sound so good together. My brother and I were talking about old concert posters the other day so I was googling Beatles posters and since the Cyrkle opened for them in 1966 in the US I wiki'd them and discovered that their hit "Red Rubber Ball" was co-written by Paul Simon. I'm guessin' this isn't news to Evie! No wonder it was a hit!
Some of the comments on youtube for the S&G version are interesting...wonder how much of it is true.vlivantje:
Thanks.
Funny how you think it's too fast, when in fact I think it's a bit slower than Simon & Garfunkel's album version on Bridge Over Troubled Water.
"Slow down, you move too fast. You got to make the morning last."

I agree with this choice....watching Chris Isaak get hot and bothered is okay by me

Beautiful vocal and guitar on a beautiful, timeless song. The 'wiki' on the song is interesting... The Boxer

Ouch! What the hell was she thinking...? http://www.break.com/index/excited-chick-lands-painfully-off-stage.html
She wasn't
Here's one you'll like... http://www.break.com/index/robbie-williams-gets-pushed-off-stage.html
You know, this annoys me to NO END. I mean, not Robbie Williams, but the fans getting on stage. I mean, it nearly always ends well, but it could be so much worse.
If I was an artist on stage and it happened to me, I'd say to hell with it all and never do another show in my life.
: I mean, if you can't be safe anymore on your stage....same thing when I saw Simon&Garfunkel's Central Park concert for the first time and that fan rushed on stage when Paul was doing a solo number, that fan was screaming something like "I gotta talk to you".
: I mean, honestly. And that was in 1981, right after Paul's lyrics went "have you heard John Lennon has died". I'd be SO annoyed and really scared as well.
I agree, this annoys me too. No one deserves this. When he is standing there on stage not expecting this and not being able to defend himself he could get seriosuly injured. I would never go on a stage again if something like this happened to me, I would have been to scared. The asshole who did this should spend some time in jail.
You'd think the venue would have enough security to prevent such incidents. Talk about being 'blindsided'...the performer has no idea they are going to get attacked. After disrupting or totally stopping the concert for the many paying fans...they should just toss the slime-bag into the crowd for punishment.

hi to all, logging in to check out what is happening around here. off to driving school online as i got a ticket for a california stop
Is that one of those 'slow down but don't actually come to a halt' at a stop sign things?
Funny, we have those here in Florida, too...........but we still call 'em "California stops".

thats cuz we do it the best sometimes we barely slow down at all
So your defense to the cop was "I slowed down more than most people" ?

Yes, it's not Carnaval of Light at all, actually the poster on youtube says it's another "Beatleg" instead of Carnaval of Light
The Beatleg podcasts are wonderful....I've listened to a little over half of them so far.
Here's a real "hottie" for you....our very own sun!

In anticipation of the Eve/Oliver duet.....
Once again, there's this really low note in there I couldn't quite reach (
, and I capo'ed my guitar again on the sixth fret. With all that sliding and bending, I had a hard time keeping my guitar TUNED while my capo was on, too, so hopefully the guitar part won't sound too false.
But it's such a sweet, sweet song and way too short!
