I wish he'd bring back some of the Beatles songs he only played for a short time like The Night Before, Another Girl, Your Mother Should Know, Things We Said Today, Here There and Everywhere, I'm Looking Through You, etc. He could really "freshen up" the set with some of these. Say, for example-

      A Hard Day's Night

      Junior's Farm

      The Night Before

      Letting Go

Who Cares /Come On To Me/Let Me Roll It/I've Got A Feeling/My Valentine

      Here, There and Everywhere

      1985

      Maybe I'm Amazed

      I'm Looking Through You

      Things We Said Today

In Spite of All The Danger

      (current set through Here Today)

      Your Mother Should Know

      Queenie Eye

      Lady Madonna

      Eleanor Rigby

      Fuh You

      etc...

Would barely require any new rehearsal for the band

Next stop for Paul is Japan and then on to Europe and USA in 2019, do we think that they'll be any more changes? I for one would think that AHDN would be switched around since he has played this at these same venues he will be visiting again like in 2016/17. Also 'And I love her' is not in the show since being there for many years! probably due a much needed rest.

      Some predictions;

new opener ( anything except Magical Mystery Tour please! )

One or two more from ES album to be added

a few Songs from past tours (as mentioned earlier) plenty to choose from; Fixing a Hole, Penny Lane, Your Mother should know, Good Day Sunshine, One after 909, Another Girl, Mrs Vandebilt.

my guess is he'll swap in a couple of the normal swap ins for Japan (Drive My Car, All My Loving, Got To Get You Into My Life, etc). I would not be surprised at all if he plays Penny Lane in Liverpool, especially since he didn't in 2015.

By the way, last night's show was far and away the greatest McCartney show I've ever seen, and I've seen many

I disagree with you on the new album. I love it and wish he would add more to the live show.

I believe he means "NEW," not the most recent new album.  I tend to agree with him.  Most of the songs have been done to death.  Paul has his idea on what people who attend his concerts expect or want to hear...but many of what he chooses don't necessarily fit that criteria.  And certainly not  for the 100th time!  Some he just can't sing anymore...."Maybe I'm Amazed."  Please stop doing this song....or make it a soft acoustic number.  There are scads of Beatles' songs people are aware of....do 'em!!!!  Change it up! Just an opinion, folks!

I actually thought Maybe I'm Amazed sounded fine in Austin. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da was the one that he really struggled with

      • Watching the livestream now - the band sounding great as usual, and Paul in good voice by the standards of lately. It’s interesting how he can be shaky on Hard Days Night and Hi Hi Hi and then clear as a bell for most of Can’t Buy Me Love. In my experience Can’t Buy is a pretty tough to song to sing.

Kind of surprising how weak he sounded on some tunes and how strong on others. Newer songs, which seem to be written for his current voice, mostly went better. My Valentine was beautiful -- but then I've always thought that one's an overlooked gem.

yeah I was kinda surprised by which songs he had trouble with. Hi, Hi, Hi, and Here Today in particular were pretty rough, but Maybe I'm Amazed was way better than I expected. Letting Go sounded good too. Blackbird was a highlight for sure with the whole crowd singing along

Thanks, looks like Who Cares, Four Five Seconds, and the first 2 encore songs were cut from the set.  He does tend to cut Yesterday from festival shows.

Also one acoustic set song, Queenie Eye and Eleanor Rigby were cut

Thoughts after seeing him for the first time since Out There 2014 at ACL last night.

      - AHDN works very well as an opener, but nothing beats Magical Mystery Tour in my opinion

      - Hi, Hi, Hi works very well in the 2nd spots

      - the horns bring so much energy to the show, not that any was lacking

      - My Valentine is still a down point

      - the audience sat through the Egypt Station songs he played (Come On To Me, Fuh You),but he could've curated better ES picks for the crowd (Happy With You or Confidante? Who Cares could've worked too)

      - the acoustic set works well, In Spite of All The Danger isn't my favorite choice (would rather have You Won't See Me).

      - Lady Madonna rocked more than it ever has with the live horns

      - Mr Kite was very cool with the visuals

      - Ob-La-Di went over very well with the crowd and the singalong

      - Live and Let Die was very cool with the horns

      - Encore was great length for the fest

Overall, I had a great time at the show. Wonder if he'll change it up for next weekend

Less than 24 hours to go! Hard to believe it's been almost 4 years since the last time I saw him. Will be interesting to see if he changes the set up at all for the fest. Regardless, there are plenty of new songs since the last time I saw him, including the 1on1 repeats. I'm really hoping he plays You Won't See Me (one of if not my favorite Beatles song), but don't know based on the Canada setlists.

I wish that if he is going to stick with 1on1 setlist, he would add least keep You Won't See Me. oh well, I'll still go. Missed 1on1 shows anyways, so there'll be 10 or so new songs for me
