Well....I'm FINALLY getting over my "Still in shock after seeing Paul" mode!!!!! What an absolutely AWESOME show!!!!! Des Moines really showed the love!! D It was so great to finally meet everyone I've been chatting with for months!! Maccascruff,Suess,Scottycat,Maccatak & Dragonfly3310... thanks for being so great!!! I'm really glad that we decided to meet up at The Spaghetti Works! But, being the mindless TWIT that I am, I wore 3 1/2 inch heels, and ended walking about 10 blocks that night, as well as standing & dancing thru MOST of the show ? . Needless to say, I could hardly walk after the show!!!! roll Maccascruff was gracious enough to offer me a ride to my hotel (Many Thanks)!!! I'm sure anyone watching me try to walk out of the arena & to the parking garage thought I was seriously intoxicated!!!! I was staggering and trying to get my useless feet to work!!!! Needless to say, my feet are STILL killing me!!! Oh well....I still had a great time!! My seat was THE BEST!! Just to the left of the stage-1st row-aisle seat!! I definately had eye contact with Rusty & Paul(I'm sure Paul was SO happy to see me) lol I also was so close, that I got to watch John Hammel tuning Paul's guitar! Live & Let Die is always my favorite, but I must say that this concert was absolutely BRILLIANT! ScottyCat & her great boyfriend & I DID close the bar at The Savery...& thanks guys! I had so much fun talking with you! Maccascruff...I'm so glad that we finally met up!!! Your a wonderful person!!!(Hope you made it home ok)!!! All in all, it was just a GREAT experience!!!! ! !

Hi Mspeel! You must have been sitting right near me....we were front row seats 43 and 44! We thought Paul was looking at us too, but then he starting talking about the "great nephew Drew" sign, which was an entire level above our heads...so embarassing! Anyway...had an awesome night! Rusty was very engaged with our area....stellar performance! Come back Paul!!! We miss you and I wanted you to sign my British flag sneaker!!

You were smarter than me. I would have been completely shut out if I hadn't finally got a real person on the phone who told me what to do. I entered in everything I could think of except the pre-sale password and now you say it didn't work! I don't know if I feel better or worse. Because I only needed a single, I ended up on the floor, but 20 rows back, but I'm there and happy. Still mad at the Iowa Events Center and the lies in the email response. It also said to contact them with any questions, which I did and still haven't heard back on that. Did you see the email where he said the site didn't crash? Some of my friends back in Iowa said it crashed on them.

I suppose iit depends on how they define "crash", but the person I know had their tickets and clicked to enter the credit card portion when the site froze. She waited for 15 minutes and did not see anything so she went back a page to see if she could hit reload. The site again, took several minutes to "think", showed a message about a problem operating Safari and then she was bounced off the site entirely. She called the Events Center and they said that unless she had a confirmation number her tickets were released. My tickets took several minutes to finalize after entering my credit card info. I was worried that I was going to get an error or invalid message, but I think the difference in my experience was that I did not try to open any other pages.

Incidentially, it wasn't genius on my part...I was just as bewildered as everyone else. I had tried all Friday morning to get the tickets through the pre-sale promo-code so I had lots of experience with the site by then. On Monday, I clicked the Paul McCartney name as soon as my computer clock said 10 and I got right in. If I had been on a dial-up connection, I am sure I wouldn't have the tickets at all. I have been wondering how the crowd that stood in line at the event center got tickets within the 30 minutes that the group seats sold out.

Not a problem...seats 43 and 44. I don't know if that means we will be on the far right or left...it would be ideal if they were center though. Wishful thinking on my part.

      Seuss:

I got a reply from the Manager of the Well Fargo Events Center in response to the e-mail I sent yesterday stating the frustrations I and others had trying to use their on-line ticketing system for the first time. I also asked him why Des Moines was excluded from the Friday pre-sale. This was his comment "As an FYI, the promotional code box was there for the McCartney fan club pre-sale that took place on Friday." Now, who the H_LL knew we could use those codes for a pre-sale and what the hours of the Des Moines pre-sale were? I certainly didn't! I actually called the WF Box Office Thursday afternoon and was told no pre-sale by 2 people - one supposedly a supervisor! I am also a member of the Events Ctr e-mail club and got no notification I could use my password for a pre-sale there. I'm a bit bummed thinking about what seats I could have gotten had I known I could buy on Friday - sure would have saved a lot of stress and tranquilizers yesterday D Just wondering if ANYONE out there knew about this??

The manager told you a complete and utter lie. I entered my password into the promo box and it didn't work at all. I tried several times during the 10 - 12 Friday time slot....nothing. I know one person who was completely cheated of her tickets because of a stupid Safari issue with their ticket purchasing program. She had 2nd row tickets in the balcony, but then the site crashed. I was insanely lucky in that I ended up getting 2 seats in Floor 1, row A when I clicked on the IEC website Monday morning!!!!!!!!!!!
