RE: Detroit, MI-Little Caesars Arena-Oct. 1st/2nd 2017-CONFIRMED
I ended up getting rather lovely seats on "the Wix side" (Sec. 124, Row 9) this evening for the second night. The quality of what's available still (both in 100s and middle distance floor) should be encouraging to anyone who hasn't committed yet.

Detroit 2nd show public sale is this Saturday May 13th according to Olympia Entertainment. I'll assume the 'pre-sale' will be either Thursday or Friday.
Ticketmaster just put fanclub presale up for Wednesday (tomorrow) 8am C/9am E.

Did anyone get tickets today from the general public sale for Detroit? I know someone that had no luck at all . I looked at the Ticketmaster site , all tickets I saw were verified ones . - tickets being resold- Thank goodness I got mine during the presale!
I had a handful of reasonably great (floor, 100s close to stage) pairs in my cart at various points this morning (my own financial risk taking today was probably predicated on finding "I can't let these go!" grade unbelievable tix, to be honest), which indicates to me that a person could have done quite well in the general onsale.

It wasn't cheap but got 4 in the 9th row piano side. Certainly the closest I've ever been.
What package was that? Does it include soundcheck?
Gold. $700. No soundcheck.

So...has anyone been to this venue. How is it? Are the VIP seats under the roof? Any info?
I'll put it to you this way. I live less than an hour from the venue, and yet I'm looking for Detroit or Des Moines tickets instead.

You all were the one with the Ram On sign! I thought it was pretty cool! I was hoping he'd play it since the sign you all made is pretty cool!
Oh, we certainly held it up every chance we got. I will get my 90 seconds of "Ram On" some day!

RE: Cincinnati, Ohio-July 10-US Bank Arena - ARCHIVE
Last night was my 9th Paul McCartney concert. We had probably the best seats I'd ever had for a Paul concert (19th row, piano side, just off the center aisle...I'm officially hooked on getting closer and closer from this day forward...what those first ten rows must be like). I took my youngest as a treat for his 7th birthday. In his own way, he's more obsessed than any of us. This was his first concert of any sort that didn't involve seeing either his mother or I play in a band. We built up to the whole thing as much as possible. This is the book his mother and I made for him for the reveal on his actual birthday:
And, of course, he and I had a homemade flip calendar staged on the family piano that we would tear a page off together first thing every morning (it went from EIGHTEEN DAYS TILL PAUL all the way to GO SEE PAUL). Kids make this sort of thing even more fun than it already is. The boy and I spent the last few anticipation days making a half dozen signs for the gig. Two of which made it onto the video screens during the concert: (our "Hey Jude sign") AND: (full disclosure - this is from a concept by our friend dappa-macca) And a few of which didn't: The boy had a fantastic time. Why, he even got picked up by the guitar tech at one point and held up onstage to watch for about a minute: Poor kid - he's gonna expect this kind of access/magic out of every concert from now on. But what an intro. As a longtime Paul concert attendee? I thought it was absolutely fantastic. Yeah, there are moments where you hear him struggle with certain notes or phrases, but...then there are all the times when he just reaches and NAILS some utterly impossible part with abundant force. I was super happy to see him rotate some now rather tired chestnuts (songs AND anecdotes!) out of the act, and - against all odds - a few heart stopping (and unspoiled!*) surprises managed to remain outside of my informational firewall and really kick me in the gut during the gig. Short version? A wonderful show with a more varied repertoire than he's given me in ages. I'm already contemplating the "hook or crook" scenarios that might possibly allow me to enjoy this tour on one more occasion. [size=7]*My own feelings about "the age of the unavoidable spoiler" are not kind or generous and probably shouldn't be allowed to taint an otherwise joyful post. Life is pretty special if you are allowed to let it unfold without having the answer key shoved in your face. -

Anyone know anything about the venue? After failing to successfully compete with "the secondary market" in the first ten seconds of the Summerfest presale, I'm considering my options.

Woot! I am actually going to be in the Chicago area right around the time of this show!!! Haven't seen Paul since 2013 and now that my boy's a few years older, he'll remember this one better. I may have to try for tickets on Monday! Anyone know if the presale will include the cheap seats??? I can't afford to go high price this summer.
To date, every presale I've participated in has included every single tier of ticket pricing. How old is your boy? I took my oldest son to his first Paul show the day before he turned six. This time, I'll be taking my youngest just after his 7th birthday.

RE: Milwaukee, WI - Summerfest - July 8th - ARCHIVE
Purely hypothetical, but...I can think of few things more uncool than a Chicago performance being announced moments after several thousand Chicagoans have just dropped a month's rent on Milwaukee tickets.

Top price is $363.30.
Probably Summerfest grounds admission tacked on so that raises the price which raises the taxes?
Should be "all you can eat" as well.
I noticed that the other Marcus headliners were all charging an average of $100 as a top ticket price. Which makes me hopeful that the presently advertised $363 is ultimately inaccurate. I mean, if PMcC is - theoretically - having $100+ tacked on for Fest Fees (Gen Adm is $20 per day), then why wouldn't, say, Tim McGraw be similarly inflated? I say, as much out of desperately hopeful optimism as anything else, that his Marcus Ampitheater prices will ultimately be comparable to the past 14 years of US Macca prices.
